The news Monday from the Columbus Board of REALTORS® Columbus home sales highest since... said:
"The month’s supply has dropped 30 percent from last year. Last year at this time, the months supply was 9.82 meaning that if no new homes were added to the market, it would take almost ten months to sell all remaining inventory. Today, that number is down to 6.86. A market is typically considered balanced with around a 6.5 to 7 months supply."

Columbus home sales highest since in Octber 2009 the sales volume was the highest since "the boom."
The blurb from the Columbus Board of REALTORS® this month is primarily about sales volume and inventory levels. The Columbus Dispatch's take on the news.... "Central Ohio home sales skyrocket" Sales volume. was up. Many of the October home sales were first time home buyers because of the impending (but now extended end of the first time home buyer tax credit.
Columbus home prices or maybe we should say Central Ohio home prices because this is a huge chunk of the middle of the state including:
All of Franklin, Delaware, Fayette, Morrow, Madison and Union Counties
Parts of Clark, Champaign, Fairfield, Hocking, Knox, Licking, Logan, Marion, Pickaway and Ross Counties.

According to the Columbus Board of REALTORS® October home sales highest since the housing boom!
The 2021 closed sales in October 2009 were in the full area that the Columbus Board of REALTORS MLS serves which serves a huge chunk of Central Ohio. It includesaccording to the table the local MLS serves Franklin, Delaware, Fayette, Morrow, Madison and Union Counties and parts of Clark, Champaign, Fairfield, Hocking, Knox, Licking, Logan, Marion, Pickaway and Ross Counties.
I work primarily in Northern Franklin County and Southern Delaware County.
