Well, the hook may have got you here but the post may not be what you expected!

As my husband and I enjoyed our weekly lunch at The Ruddy Duck Tavern/ Restaurant located on the Morehead City Waterfront...

this beauty pulled in and docked .... Can you say Sweeeet !

This year we've added a wooden runabout to our Goal Setting Strategy!

Morehead City is the ideal area to leisurely coast up the intracoastal waterway and soak in the Carolina sunshine. There are a variety of stops along the way to shop, walk around and dine.

Beaufort waterfront affords day docking as well...just a few minutes East. Further West is a short ride to Swansboro which is actually located in the county line of Carteret and Craven Counties. Quaint antique shoppes and parlors to wander through.

I am already visualizing the dogs in the back seat and my husband and I riding "topless".

So, what do you think.. a goal worth pursuing ?

I'vce had my eye on the construction over the past few months and find it exciting to see the project progress as it has. Hobbs Architects of Pittsboro Nc (formerly Partin and Hobbs) is a familiar name to me. Their work reflects their innovation and respect for the environment.

The fort is rich with history and offers guided trails and tours. Gates open til dusk and beach has ample parking, a bathouse and showers, boardwalk and picnic area. Fishing is allowed. Learn about Blackbeard and his sunken treasure, Fort Macon Spanish-American War, The Battle of Bentonville, site the WWII command bunker, Bogue Banks history and Lighthouse and more.

The US Coast Guard Station at Fort Macon also resides on the park grounds. Take time to visit this wonderful state park and watch for upcoming posts on the progress of the new Coastal Education Center...

Every year for Christmas, in a very descreet manner Coldwell Banker First gathers canned and non-perishable foods with participating local schools and then Ms Schultz adds a family turkey to the basket prior to delivery to local needy families. This year she will be providing over 50 turkeys and baskets on behalf of the Company. The school children involved get this chance to learn about giving and helping others as well... How great is that !
