Hunterdon County is rich in history and farming. It is a "Right to Farm" County, which means that the residents that do not farm have to respect the farmers and their rights, in other words, do not run a tractor off of the road if you get stuck in back of it. Do not complain about the sounds and smells of someone's farming or the noise from a tractor lopping along on a summer day.

Hunterdon County is a great place to live, close to Pennsylvania, Philladelphia and New York. Flemington is the County Seat, also rich in history.

Princeton Governors Mansion Drumthwacket

The Princeton Governors Mansion, Drumthwacket, is open for Visitors in December.

Reservations are required and filling up quickly. You can visit the web site at www.drumthwacket.org or call 609-683-0057 for reservations.

This yhears theme is Peace on Darth. The mansion is decorated by New Jersey's finest garden clubs including Hunterdon HIlls.

Visitors can stroll thru the mansion at their own pace and it will be decorated with natural garden materials. I am especially interested in seeing this since I have decorated my home in mostly natural materials this season.

Drumthwacket was built in 1835 on the land that witnessed the Battle or Princeton and is rich in History.

Hope to see you there.
