Just a few months from now the JetBlue Park at Fenway South is slated to open, to mark the start of the 2012 baseball spring training season.
The photos shown were taken in October, 2011, and work progresses each and every day...time is passing quickly!
Located on Daniels Parkway east of I-75 in Fort Myers, the new facility will encompass elements of Fenway Park while at the same time incorporating south Florida features into the overall design and presentation.
With seating capacity for up to 11,000 fans in the main ballpark, JetBlue Park will also provide six practice fields, and additional facilities for the Red Sox including operations and rehabilitation center.
If you live in the greater Fort Myers area, you know that spring training brings many, many loyal and enthusiastic baseball fans to the area. While that results in traffic congestion and waiting times at eateries, etc, it ultimately has a very positive impact on the local economy.
The location of the new Red Sox training facility in Fort Myers is a great opportunity for homeowners and investors in the entire area, but particularly in developments such as Gateway, Botanica Lakes, Pelican Preserve and many more.
Gateway is located just a short distance from the new spring training facility, and offers a wide variety of single family homes and condominiums for just about every lifestyle and budget, plus schools, shopping, dining and recreational facilities.
Red Sox fans will love the close proximity to JetBlue Park at Fenway South from Gateway

It won't be long and the new facility will be ready to open and welcome it's first fans of the 2011 spring training season.

Let's work together!
A cabin in the woods in South Fort Myers, Florida? The two phrases don't seem to quite fit together, do they?
And from the exterior photo you might be wondering what in the world I'm thinking! A cabin? In the woods? Come on! But read on, and you'll soon understand why I describe the property in this way.
South Fort Myers is known for having a great variety of shops, restaurants, attractions and beaches (yeah!) just a few miles down the road, so no doubt it's a popular location for people to reside on a seasonal and annual basis.
Lakes Park is in the area, the Barbara Mann Performing Arts Hall is just down Summerlin Rd...you can drive a few minutes and find just about anything you need or want for your lifestyle.
So, to find a home that is in this immediate area, on a private road, with all of the charm of a cabin in the woods (but without the cold, snowy weather) is quite a find, indeed.
Coca Sabal Lane is located off of Gladiolus Drive, between US 41 and Summerlin Roads. There are homes along this road, so it is by no means a rural area. But, when you drive up to 7214 Coca Sabal Lane and pull into the pavered drive, you'll see the lush tropical landscaping all around.
The entrance to this piling home takes you into the main level, where you'll find a guest bedroom/den/flex room that is spacious and offers variety of options for your family and lifestyle. Also on this level is a large laundry area with plenty of available space for storage.
Let's head up the stairs to the main living area, where we'll find the Great Room, Master Bedroom, Kitchen, Guest Bedroom, Guest Bath, Screened Porch and Deck.
The Great Room is warm and inviting, with a working brick fireplace that could come in handy on some chilly winter evenings, even in South Florida. A charming combination of wood floors, pumpkin wall colors and casually rustic finishes present an 'up north' cabin feeling.
The kitchen area is open to the living and dining, yet separate enough to provide ample working area for the cook to prepare meals.
An upper deck is found off of the kitchen, and offers beautiful views of the property as well as an area to enjoy outdoor relaxing and dining.
The master bedroom suite is spacious and restful, with french doors that access the screened porch. You can also make your way to the screened porch from the living area of the home.
Just imagine yourself enjoying a morning cup of coffee on this relaxing porch, with the gentle morning breeze
rustling the newspaper ever so slightly. What do you see when you look outside the windows of this porch in the trees? You guessed it...trees.
It feels like you are the only person in the world when you sit and relax on this screened porch on Coca Sabal Lane.
With a combination of natural beauty and landscaping, your property will always be an enjoyable and relaxing place for you to unwind from a busy day, or just take in the surroundings.
This comfortable, casually cabin'ish home also comes with a very comfortable and affordable price!
