The Oregon Grape Stomp Championship and Harvest Celebration
Just south of Salem on I-5 is the beautiful Willamette Valley Vineyards. September features a most intriguing event -- It's the Oregon Grape Stomp Championship! There is still time to sign your team to stomp and swab!
Some of us are old enough to recall the "I Love Lucy" show and the image of her stomping grapes sticks with me when I think of this event. Sounds like a purple feet, stomping good time to me - but I think I'll watch this year!
Each team consists of two persons. One person, the Stomper, stands inside the barrel and stomps the grapes, and the other person, the Swabber, stands outside the barrel and catches the juice. The Swabber may also reach inside the barrel to ensure a free flow of juice through the screen and out the drain spout.
The team who produces the most juice qualifies for the World Grape Stomping Championship in Santa, Rosa, CA! $5 adult admission includes a free Riedel wine glass and tasting. Additional $5 per team per heat to stomp

Recently we visited a home that had been on the market for some time and the realtor and owners were frustrated that it was not getting any showings. Here are the photos that were on the MLS:

The listing realtor provided a staging consultation. We worked with the sellers on decluttering, paint colors and more -- these are the photos we took the next week. I think they speak for themselves!
From orange walls and dark lighting to soft buttercream paint and hardwoods continued into the living room. I'm not fond of the white curtains, but could not talk the homeowner out of them -- other than that I'm thrilled with the results!
Yard work was done, steps finished and bark dust completed the polished look!
What's the best thing about being a stager? Being witness to such amazing transformations -- I never tire of it!
Home staging consultations, color consultations, model homes and occupied staging -- what is it that will help your home compete in a buyers market? Contact Creative Concepts and Contracting to prepare to sell professionally and successfully!
