For the last 30 years, I have been engaged in corporate finance, concentrating on the financing of real property and capital equipment in association with a number of the largest banks in the world including Bank of America, Credit Anstalt, Fleet Boston Financial, Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company and Sanwa Bank of Japan.
After moving to South Carolina, I became interested in Real Estate, leading to the purchase of the only national real estate franchise located in Fairfield County with my wife, Mary who had been working at the agency for a number of years. Our agency specializes in rural real estate, particularly historic higher end homes, equine estates, lake properties and rural land tracts. Building on my international contacts as well as my experience developed over many years in banking, and Mary's experience in sales and marketing, the agency works with clients from all over the world. For example, I am currently working with a major Irish landowner in the acquisition of an estate and vineyards.
I was educated at the University of Notre Dame (BBA in Accounting) and the University of Detroit Law School (Juris Doctor). I have practiced as a CPA and am a member of the Michigan Bar Association. I have served on the Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce as Chairman and a Director, VFW Auxiliary Secretary/Treasurer, Historical Society Director, Board of Tax Appeals of Fairfield County and sing in the choir of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Camden. We are members of the Columbia Multiple Listing Service, Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce, Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce and the Wateree Home Owners Association. I am licensed in both North and South Carolina.
