CreekStone Homes

I'm confused....bloggers please explain.......

Hi everyone! My name is Dayle, I do the Accounts Payable for CreekStone Homes. This is my first blogging experience so I'm going to write about, well, just that............ First of all, what's all the hype?? I've always thought that this was for someone sitting in a dark room with no life. Turns out, it isn't...I guess. Then, my second thought, was always that if I wanted you to know what I was thinking, or doing, or going to do, or just got done doing, I would call you and tell you....not broadcast it all over the internet. I always figured that if I wanted you to know where I was 20 years later, you would know already because I wouldn't have lost touch with you to begin with. I know, I know....you're all probably shaking your head at me. This is for "social networking" purposes right? Emphasis on the "social".

So, what brings me here you ask? Funny story...Tuesday in our manager's meeting, my boss, Rhonda told the 3 of us in the meeting that we need to start blogging and expanding our exposure. The conversation actually went a little differently but you get the point. Now, the 3 of us have never done this so we have been putting it off all week. Well, let me re-phrase...we've been working on other things. We've tried to cut down the chit chat here and there because that was a point that was brought up and that we should be blogging instead. So, today, again, Rhonda asked if we're blogging. Of course, we weren't. So, I decided to sit down and do it.

But what do you blog about?? We asked that question. Obviously, the 3 of us would only feel it be appropriate to blog about work....since we're at work and on a real estate site. But, searching through some of the others, which we found takes us all sorts of places (and other sites), we saw cats, strippers, videos with crazy music, a million ways to fix your computer that crashed, kids graduations, personal conversations between someone you maybe know and someone who's name sounds familiar from the party you went to 5 years ago (but maybe not, their picture doesn't really look the same). So, after wasting a good hour, I still only find it appropriate to blog about work because I'm not on my personal "MySpace" page...oh wait, I don't have one because I'm too busy to go home and be in front of the computer. Is it just me???

Forgive my sarcasm, but since I've been writing this and erasing it and figuring it out, I've been on here for 45 minutes and I really should get back to my other work. Before I go, I do want to make it worth it and say that CreekStone Homes is a great place to be! We build a great home in great locations and we're local!! You can visit our new website at www.creekstone-homes.com. And did I mention, we have AWESOME employees!!!!!

P.S. Dear Rhonda (if you're reading this), if I end up addicted to this, just remember.....you wanted me to blog!!! :)

Not real estate but a part of everyday life in colorado springs

These past two days have been so rough for my family. Our beautiful cat had got out during the storm. We still haven't found him. We feel like we lost one of our kids. It is amazing how an animal makes there way into your heart. We found Murphy back in 2006 up in the town of Murphy by pure luck. My husband wanting to get me a kitten but he found it would cost a little over $100 with a pet store. So he decided to take me up to Angels Camp, Ca for my Birthday. We decided to go see the caverns and we were following these signs that lead us into a town call Murphy. All the stores were closed except one. We went in and there was this beautiful cat. He was for sale for $25. We visit with him and feel in love. We decided that the name "Murphy" fit him perfectly.

Needless to say we have had him all this time and he is the best cat anyone could have. Every morning when our alarm went off, he would come on the bed and meow to make sure we got up. When we came home, he would be right at the door waiting. He would then hop on the counter and give us a little kiss with his nose. He also has a quirky side..he loved to catch bugs. He would make this crazy meow sound an ...Pounce. He would get them and then show it to us as if it were a prize.

One event that made me fall in love with him more is when my girls were outside playing with some kids and these boys started chasing the girls. I had a window open (with a screen) and was talking on the phone. All of a sudden I heard my youngest scream and before I could even react Murphy busted through the screen and started chasing the boy. He was very protective of our girls as well as us. I could go on with stories of how wonderful this cat is but even as I write this...I am tearing up. We miss him greatly and now all we can do is pray that someone finds him or he finds his way home. We are offering a $200 Reward for him. He just can't be replace and even though we only payed $25 for him...his love is worth so much more.

I hope there will be happy ending to this.......
