CreekStone Homes has drastically reduced base pricing in our Wolf Ranch Community. Now you can own a beautiful CreekStone Home, at a reduced price. Not only did we reduce the base pricing but we improved our homes quality. CreekStone Homes is a proud Energy Star Partner, Built Green (and we still build 16" on center) and the only certified green professional in the Colorado Springs area. We have also added a 10 year strucsure warranty to our homes, to give our home buyers that added piece of mind. Come by and take a look.

Wow! I'm thinking this news is excellent. On FHA loans the first time buyer can use the $8,000.00 tax credit towards closing cost or down payment. Previously, the home buyer would have been unable to access the tax credit until they filed their next annual tax return or an amended 2008 tax return and received the refund from the IRS. To qualify for the tax credit, first-time home buyers must actually close on their home purchase by Dec. 1, 2009. Buyers can take the credit on their 2008 or 2009 income tax return. I hope this will stimulate home sales and jump start the economy. For more information visit
CreekStone Homes has a new home of its own! 2139 Chuckwagon Dr. Suite 300 is where we will call home for the next year or so. CreekStone Homes will actively be looking for a new parcel of land to build a new office on. We are excited about the change, and being on the west side will be a good central location to our new projects that are coming down the pipe pretty fast. Stay tuned for that! Come by for a visit to check out the new space and bring a gift! Thank you all for your support.
Barnstormers were the most romanticized daredevils of their time. They were 1920's stunt pilots and aerialists who could preform almost any feat imaginable with small planes. Barnstormers came into their own following World War I when the federal government priced its surplus of "Jenny" (JN-4) biplanes so low that many of the postwar aviators were able to purchase their own. Most barnstorming shows followed a typical pattern - a pilot or team of pilots, would fly over or "buzz" a small rural town and attract the attention of the residents. They would then land at a local farm (hence barn stormer) and negotiate with the farmer for the temporary use of one of his fields as a runway. The Barnstormers would then provide shows or offer rides to awestruck local crowds, most of whom had never seen an airplane up close. Rumors are that "Barnstormer's Landing" was used as a landing strip in the 1920's for the Barnstormers.
