In this installment of game play tips, I want to talk about addons. In short, don't use them. You're probably wondering why. Well, first of all, addons to the game, created by third party developers, are created solely for the purpose of cheating the game so that you can get to high levels faster. The problem with addons is that, for one thing, they are not reliable.

Many of them will actually end up crashing the game. Some, because of addon creators who are less than honorable, install trojans and other viruses on your PC. The next thing you know, your computer is toast.

This should be reason enough not to use addons. But there is more. See, the folks at Aion had a feeling that this game was going to take off and become extremely popular...and it has. So, they built into the game the ability to detect any addon installed. If an addon is detected (which is almost a certainty) your account WILL be banned. They have a very strict no tolerance policy on this. And finally, and this is just my own personal opinion, what fun is a game if all you have to do is go through some motions to become all powerful?

A lot of the excitement of this game is because it can be so difficult at times. The thrill of getting passed a certain level is greatly diminished when you use an addon.
