Cowboy Coolers- My Way of Giving Back (This Month at Least)

Cowboy Cooler

Are you good with your hands?

Well my husband, Glenn, is. He can take some old fencing and in a couple of hours make

what he calls a Cowboy Cooler. He donated one to the booster club at our high school, A&M Consolidated.

He is donating one to our local Sister Cities, a student foreign exchange program, for a raffle to be held December 5, 2009.

One day I heard him at the printer making signs. "What are you doing?", I asked.

"Making a sign to put on the cooler," he said.

His sign read,

Have You Ever Had a Client Overact?

Have you ever had a client overact? Well, maybe THEY didn't think that they were overeacting

but it sure seems like it to you. I have heard of clients upset and making comments:

1) Because the listing agent could not FOOL THE COMPUTER into believing that their

1 1/2 bath was really 2.

2) The listing agent gave the seller feedback from other agents.

Seller would comment- "I don't care it's my house."

" Well, I like flocked wallpaper."

" If they don't like it don't have to look at it." (HUH)

3) The listing agent recommends that the seller get legal advice and the

seller responses, " I'm not worried about all that, just sell the house."

4) " If they don't like the carpet, paint, etc. etc. They can always change it. But I want my price."

5) Seller- " Why can't I get my money and then move in 2-3 weeks?"

6) Seller- " If THAT"S all I can get for this house then they can just foreclose."

Mr. and Mrs. Seller- Stop and think about your comments. If you were looking to buy what would you think if a seller had your attitude.

You Snooze You Lose- Be Ready When You Find the Perfect House

Catnapping! The Market Has Picked Up in College Station/Bryan, Texas Home of Texas A&M University.

Spring is always a busy time in our town. Low interest rates and the First Time Home Buyer Credit

are rocking our market. We are seeing properties geared to First Time Home Buyers and College

Students getting multiple offers in one day. I was showing one vacant property today and 4 realtors

showed during the time my clients and I were there. To all the buyers out there: First ready, be fast and

be preapproved. You snooze, you lose.
