Life With Wee People - Two Outstanding Maryland Homes

My kids love going to work with me, especially if it means an ActiveRain road trip.

While we hop and skip our way through a few private showings this week end to collect some more eye candy for our animation project, the boys and I want to share two outstanding Maryland homes with you: The Chanukah House and The Chocolate House.

They happen to be two of our fave out of state spots to visit and Stephen, The Minion Blur is completely wild over The Chocolate House.

I want one... I kinda want them both... I'm a wee bit greedy when it comes to eye candy and have no problem feeding my real estate addictions (LOL).

I could get used to Stephen window dancing and Noah walking around scribbling notes (LOL). Noah is definitely a Chanukah House man and nick named it The Cat House. My fave moment was seeing Al Capone's stove... That puppy still works. Very cool.

Pssssst... the shorties can get you in if you want to see them. It's by appointment only with The Chocolate Car (LOL). ;-)

The single The Chocolate House is live in iTunes. The music for Chanukah House is turning into an EP (because it's a four family from the 1920's and Stephen believes each apartment should have it's own theme song - LOL).

The "Ambassadors of Chaos" record label is a sponsor at this event. It's our first time being a music sponsor so we are cooking up something very interesting to say thank you to Heather O'Sullivan for the invitation (LOL). Wanna come out and play? I do. You may even learn something cool, new and useful while we have some fun. Seriously... ;-)

Converse is opening a community-based recording studio in Brooklyn named "Rubber Tracks." The sneaker company hopes their Williamsburg venture "will serve as a catalyst for originality by giving new and emerging bands the opportunity to record their songs in a high-quality studio setting. Musicians of all genres will be able to apply in advance for a time to use the studio – for free. As in no cost."

I am sooooooo down for signing up for that party.

Read the full skinny here: http://play.converse.com/play/blog/?p=2809

Since I am not the only real estate professional on this platform who can sing and play you guys need to think about expanding your creative content holdings. We can do an ActiveRain Rocks tour. Just sayin'... ;-)

Life With Wee People: First On Deck

Stephen, the Blur Minion is going to be fascinating to animate. Little Dude can't read, so the trick is to get him to help us create part of the open house real estate scripts by capturing him on film in as many open houses / by appointment only showings as possible. The kids impressions of homes are going to be live thoughts so I found myself thinking every webisode is probably going to have a Autistic/PDD-NOS surprise (LOL). I love Charlie Brown so we are minimizing the adults (LOL). ;-)

We're thinking our best bet is to make them 6 minutes or less and showcase the real home after the cartoon blurb. My kids already think they are mini-Realtors and habitually run up and down the Eastern seaboard peeking at properties with me so this is going to be mad fun for us. We watch cartoons together everyday so Noah is very excited about the experiment. He really gets it (LOL).

We don't know what our final visual style will be, so the animations may keep changing while we figure it out. In two hours I will be out on the deck having frosties with the shorties and chatting about house theme songs.

Each house has a distinct personality so we're thinking each house should have it's own song.

"The Chocolate House" is live in iTunes and my kids are absolutely wild about Lucy's home (and so am I - I am talking Lady Ga Ga wild - LOL). If the kids behave I may have the final cut for that project processed and posted later today. It's remarkable how a lovely environment can inspire one to create music and art. :-)

Wait until you hear what we cooked up for the Chanukah House listing. Stephen was in awe... He's never seen a home with seven cool distinctive kitchens. Watching my kids make themselves at home and chase Max the Cat was mad fun. BTW, I always wanted to see Al Capone's stove. It's in perfect working order on the lower level. How cool is that? VERY!!!!

We are on the prowl for a cool New York open house. I've sent out a few e-mails to let a couple of brokers know our exact location. The shorties will be helping me do a bit of Dutchess County Localism between recording sessions. Hiking in Lakeside Park happens to be a fave thing to do. I brought our picnic cooler. Did I mention we have toys? We do you know... lots and lots of toys (plus a Spiderman blankie - LOL). ;-)
