Great listings sometimes don't sell. Why is that. Have you ever considered it may be the other Realtor? Agents think they are helping their sellers by not - presenting an offer. Don't be one of those agents. Every offer is an offer. Don't be embarrassed by the price, terms or conditions....present the offer. In 2009, lets all work together as a team and sell these great listings. Let your client negotiate....it may surprise you when you are sitting at the closing table.
Times have changed in every business. As several realtor friends feel they are going down..not me. My attitude is to GO AFTER, and go for the opponent. I am an experienced full-time real estate agent - selling the CT shoreline for 15 years, and find this market to be an opportunity. To be successful in this market, don't sit back and wait for that phone to ring, don't "hope" one of your old clients will refer a friend. Be pro-active. Go after it. The big word for 2009 is "NETWORKING".
I sell shoreline beach homes and waterfronts in CT and Rhode Island. Are you looking for a dock, a cute summer home, want to relocate? You have found the right realtor. I am happy to work with other agents on qualified referals. Come visit me at www.jennifergurnell.com Let's tackle 2009 together and GO AFTER IT!!!
OK friends, anyone out their a SUCCESSFUL FULL TIME realtor and a SUCCESSFUL hockey mom? Well I am proud to say I have 3 that play ice hockey. I have been a realtor for 15 years covering the shoreline towns of Old Saybrook, Guilford, Essex, Westbrook, Madison, Branford, Chester, Old Lyme, Lyme. I also have my license in Rhode Island and focus on Jamestown, Newport and Wickford. How do I do it? I am a multi-taking, hard working, driven mother looking for success. I love my kids ....... but love selling real estate. Driving around the state of Connecticut - it is all about water. It isn't necessary the shoreline water......it could be a frozen pond or a fancy ice rink. People complain about the time and commitment a hockey mom may have to give. I am proud to say......I give that same devotion to my work - which is selling shoreline properties. My kids push hard on the ice and I push hard to pay for it!
IF you are looking for a good realtor. Ask if she is a "hockey mom".
What a super way to begin 2009. On January 1, 2009 - New Years Day.....I am proud to say I called 12 realtors to show their listings for Friday, January 2. I am pleased to say - I had excellent success. Even tho some may have been nestled in their homes. Each shoreline agent either answered their cell phone or called me back.
Years ago, trying to get hold of a realtor had always been a 3 day event. Not today. I enjoy working with such an easy going, hard working group.....that's goal is the same as mine for 2009, which is to make $$$$$.
It's times like this we are thankful for our blackberries.
The CT Waterfront Specialist. Covering the shoreline towns of Branford, Guilford, Madison, Clinton, Killingworth, Essex, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, Lyme
