(not so) Speechless Sundae ~ 2.26.12

(not so) Speechless Sundae...
Typically around the end of March I set out the hummer feeders to attract migratory birds heading north for the summer. Last year I got an opportunity to capture this oversized and over stuffed Hummer.

Well it must be a hummer it's at a humming bird feeder, Right?

I reckon I've gotta keep an eye out. Maybe nobody will notice that I'm masquerading as Hummer.

Yes, I know that it is a sap sucker, but I had fun taking pictures of this reoccurring visitor to one of my hummer feeders. I am looking forward to see what I capture this year...

(not so) Speechless Sundae...
While rummaging through some of my digital archives in order to write today's post, I had to go back no further than September to find a bright, warm, cheery photo so as to chase the winter's doldrums away...
I hope that your Sundae is relaxing and enjoyable...

Take Me Down Country Roads...

Take Me Down Country Roads...
Looking at photos while rummaging through my hard drives and
recent drives down some of the "Back Roads" here in Williamson County, TN awakend me to the fact that, what used to be a pleasant country drives along farm strewn lanes, is quickly becoming more helter-skelter traffic as urban sprawl takes over the once verdant country. While I realize that growth is inevitable, it is sad to see farms where I used to bird hunt, is now the latest subdivision.
The good thing is that I can take trips down memory lane as I gaze into some of my old pictures...

December Blogging Challenge ~ Day Vingt et Un ~ Professor Brainstrain...

December Blogging Challenge ~ Day Vingt et Un ~ Professor Brainstrain...

As the series Diehl Killers evolves and takes on new life, so will come new characters. Big Diehl and Professor BrainstrainYesterday, I introduced Mr. Sniffles, the dog with a stuffed up sniffer. Mr. Sniffles will make his debut in my Christmas message this Saturday. I have already shot this episode and am currently working to put it in the can.

Yesterday, while walking around Parent Teachers in Franklin, TN. I saw this interesting fellow and thought that he too would make an interesting addition to the Diehl Killers team. I was originally going to call him Professor Noodles, but my good friend Craig Rutman said that name was taken by a series on PBS, so Professor Brainstrain came to me early this morning as I woke up.

Today, my goal is to put the Christmas message "in the can" and develop and shoot another episode of Diehl Killerz featuring Professor Brainstrain. Hopefully, I can quit crawling under houses and work on episodes of Diehl Killers full time. Much more fun...
