WOW Home Furnishings is opening their third HUGE furniture/ home decor outlet in the old Burlington Mills plant in downtown Mooresville. It's set to open in May!
They currently have stores in Fort Lawn, SC and Jefferson, GA that carry a wide variety or product lines including Berkline, La-Z-Boy, England, BenchCraft, Sumter, Pulaski, Broyhill, Vaughan-Bassett, Sierra, Jaipur Rugs and Englander, Corsicana, Sealy and Serta in bedding. The retail space of the Fort Lawn facility is a whopping 250,000 Square feet. The space available at the new Mooresville facility contains 750,000 Square feet.
Mooresville continues to grow as new residents and businesses see the benefits of living in the area. Mooresville has been known as "Race City USA" because of the number of NASCAR shops, but also takes pride in being the headquarters to Lowe's Home Improvement and Lake Norman Regional Hospital. Mooresville was ranked 65th in the top places to live in 2007 by Money Magazine.

Christy was born in Los Angeles, California where she resided for 11 years in the San Fernando Valley until she moved to Hickory, North Carolina. After graduation from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a minor in Communications, Christy moved back to Los Angeles to start her Real Estate career and be near her west coast family. Despite finding out about her neurological voice disorder, Christy achieved a very successful career in Los Angeles. After starting a family, Christy felt it was time to move back to the east coast and decided that the Charlotte/Lake Norman area would be a great place to raise her two kids, Rachel and Garrett. They enjoy going to Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius; waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding on Lake Norman on their boat; entertaining friends at their home pool; snow skiing in the winter, as well as various other activities with the kids' interests in their school sports.

I also have two beautiful step daughters Sydney 16 and Taylor 14 and a step son Garren 25 that keep our life very interesting. Elizabeth has been in the real estate business for 14 years and has joined Christy Walker & Associates in 2008. A Lake Norman native, I spent alot of my childhood boating, waterskiing and sailing. Lake Norman was alot different back in 1975!
I have two wonderful children, who make every day an adventure! My sixteen year old son skateboards competitively across the US, and my ten year old seems to be following in his brothers' footsteps. As odd as it may seem, alot of our family life is really centered around the sport. My husband and I even opened up a skateshop five years ago called The Embassy Board Shop to help bring our passion to others in the community.
The lake has always been a huge part of my life, and still is! You can catch my family almost every evening from spring til fall out on the lake waterskiing, wakeboarding and tubing. When winter hits and it is too cold to get out on the boat, we try to hit the ski slopes in the NC mountains as often as we can.
One of my biggest and proudest accomplishments, other then raising my two awesome children, is conquering breast cancer. I was diagnosed at age 36 when my youngest son was 3 months old. Although it was one of the scariest times of my life, I was really blessed to go through the experience. Like most people that have faced a life threatening predicament, the situation made me a much stronger person with an even bigger love for my family and friends, and A HUGE graditude for LIFE! I have been cancer free for six years now and continue to thank God every day for the blessings he has given me!

Lory Hosack is the Transaction Manager for Christy Walker & Associates. With twelve years of real estate experience, Lory is the person behind the scenes facilitating and coordinating various aspects of the closing process. Her dedication to customer service and attention to detail ensures the client their needs are being met with individual and specialized care.
During the closing process, Lory will help coordinate different aspects of the closing such as working with the closing attorney regarding seller information, scheduling any repairs, working with the buyers agent, meeting inspectors and subcontractors at your home and anything else required to bring you to the closing table successfully. As the transaction manager she recognizes the importance of the transaction being smooth whether you are a buyer or a seller and is committed to making sure that happens.
On a Personal Note
In addition, Lory is a committed licensed real estate professional with twelve years prior customer service experience in telecommunications. She is a graduate of University of North Carolina-Greensboro in Home Economics and has a love of the home which is ideal for the real estate field. A wife and mother of two children, Lory is also a North Carolina native from Welcome, NC. She says "It was a friendly place to grow up." Soccer is her families' favorite past time. Her 22 year old son played competitive for years and her 14 year old son is following in his big brothers footsteps. He plays for the Lake Norman Soccer Club. Lory and her husband Jeff played in a recreational coed league for many years also. Any spare time is spent at their mountain cabin in Hays NC, hiking, canoeing, skeet shooting and visiting the local Yadkin Valley wineries that have gained notoriety in recent years with their wine making capabilities. Christina (CJ) is the Marketing Manager for Christy Walker & Associates. CJ is the person behind the scenes facilitating various aspects of the listing paperwork.
As a listing client, your listing paperwork will be submitted to CJ. She will gather feedback on showings and share that with you, design a brochure and flyer for your home, and be available during working hours to assist in any needs you may have.
Marketing and advertising expenditures to keep your property in front of the potential buyer are significant. CJ creates monthly mass mailing pieces, makes sure ad copy deadlines are met, and sends your property information flyer out via courier who delivers to more than 1600 local agents at various times during the listing period.
On a Personal Note
I spent most of my childhood in Maryville, TN and relocated via Columbus Ohio to Lake Norman in 2000 after the birth of my daughter. I have a degree in Tele-communication from The Ohio State University. I also played on the golf team and became a golf professional. I have worked at some incredible golf courses and my all time favorite was The Honors Course in Ootewah, TN. I returned to Columbus and my alma mader in 1995 to become the Assistant Women's Golf Coach. As the assistant coach we won 2 Big Ten Championships, 1 East Regional Championship and had 3 All American's. I have been in the Real Estate business for the last six years and look forward to my new role with Christy Walker & Associates.

Summer Michelle grew up in Lake Norman, and obtained her real estate license three years ago while a graphic designer for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Since receiving her license, she has been a referral for the Cornelius Keller Williams office.
