As a service to all potential buyers and sellers, I would be happy to provide you with statistics on your county, your town, your price range, etc. so you can get a clear picture of how many homes are selling and how long they take to sell. To give you an overall picture of Geauga County as a whole, I've included a few statistics for your review!
The current trend (as of October, 2009) is decrease in the number of homes for sale from the same month last year. In October of 2008 there were 802 homes on the market, of which 72 sold. In October of 2009, there were 797 homes on the market (a decrease in inventory 5 homes from one year to the next), of which 58 sold. In October of 2008, for those homes that did sell, they were on the market an average of 106 days. For those homes that sold in October of 2009, the average days on market were 113, representing an increase of 7 days from one year to the next. Refer to the chart below for a visual representation:

As a service to all potential buyers and sellers, I would be happy to provide you with statistics on your county, your town, your price range, etc. so you can get a clear picture of how many homes are selling and how long they take to sell. To give you an overall picture of Geauga County as a whole, I've included a few statistics for your review!
The current trend (as of September, 2009) is decrease in the number of homes for sale from the same month last year. In September of 2008 there were 849 homes on the market, of which 54 sold. In September of 2009, there were 840 homes on the market (a decrease in inventory 9 homes from one year to the next), of which 49 sold. In September of 2008, for those homes that did sell, they were on the market an average of 102 days. For those homes that sold in September of 2009, the average days on market were 118, representing an increase of 16 days from one year to the next. The current trend (as of August, 2009) is decrease in the number of homes for sale from the same month last year. In August of 2008 there were 913 homes on the market, of which 52 sold. In August of 2009, there were 864 homes on the market (a decrease in inventory 49 homes from one year to the next), of which 60 sold. In August of 2008, for those homes that did sell, they were on the market an average of 77 days. For those homes that sold in August of 2009, the average days on market were 121, representing an increase of 44 days from one year to the next. Refer to the chart below for a visual representation:

The current trend (as of July, 2009) is decrease in the number of homes for sale from the same month last year. In July of 2008 there were 974 homes on the market, of which 73 sold. In July of 2009, there were 887 homes on the market (a decrease in inventory 77 homes from one year to the next), of which 67 sold. It is worth noting that there are 80 homes under contract (pending sale) for the month of July this year, which is the highest in over a year! In July of 2008, for those homes that did sell, they were on the market an average of 66 days. For those homes that sold in July of 2009, the average days on market were 98, representing an increase of 32 days from one year to the next. Refer to the chart below for a visual representation:

In June of 2009, there were 823 homes on the market (a decrease in inventory 69 homes from one year to the next), of which 43 sold. In June of 2008, for those homes that did sell, they were on the market an average of 100 days. For those homes that sold in June of 2009, the average days on market were 140, representing an increase of 40 days from one year to the next. Refer to the chart below for a visual representation:
