Recycle your old computers and electronics in Langley BC and the Fraser Valley-for free

Recycle your old computers and electronics in Langley BC and the Fraser Valley-for free

Ever wonder what to do with all the old computers and monitors etc?

I recently ran into this problem when I was on a spring cleaning bender...

After months of waiting for something to come in the mail or from the kid's school announcing a recycling drive of some sort, I got desperate. I HAD to get rid of everything that day-I was on a mission..the likes of which have not been seen before-and I don't expect to see again any time soon.

I wanted to find people that dismantled the PC's and the monitors and all the other stuff that might end up in a landfill and recyled it. Not dispose of it-recycled it.

Soo..I started nosing around, made a couple of calls and one especially nice man explained the whole process to me. It turns out that if you take your stuff to a "Return it" depot in Langley BC they will accept all of your old and used electronics for free. For people who don't live in Langley, there are tons of return it depot's province-wide.

In an effort to reduce all our carbon footprints-and get rid of all the crap that maybe we are keeping because we don't know where to take it, I am blogging in the hopes that if one group or individual sees it, maybe we can pass the word around.

Canadian organ donation-here is the website to register

Canadian organ donation-here is the website to register

Remember when we could just put the little sticker on our drivers license? The "drivers License" people would just send a little round sticker with your new license and then you chose to stick it on there or not...easy. Since then, how to go about becoming an organ donor has become a bit of a mystery.

Hopefully, with your support this campaign will change all that. www.LiveOn.ca

April 18-25 2010 is National Organ Donor Awareness Week

designated by the Canadian Society of Transplantation National Organ Donor & Tissue Donor Week Logo

Canadian organ donation-here is the website to register. www.LiveOn.ca

Registering your decision to become an organ donor can save up to eight lives and improve the quality of life for up to 80 others. The critical shortage of donors is only increasing, as fewer people are dying in ways that make organ donation an option. This is due to positive factors - improved safety measures such as airbags and helmet laws, as well as continued advancements in medical care. Nonetheless, the average person is far more likely to need an organ transplant than to be eligible to donate an organ. The good news is that everyone is a potential organ & tissue donor, regardless of their age. To date the oldest Canadian organ donor was over 90 years of age while the oldest tissue donor was 102 years old.

Please visit www.LiveOn.ca and make sure you are on the list. We can do so much when we choose to www.LiveOn.ca

When you log on, just pick your province and have your medical card handy. If you are not sure if you are already a donor or not, you can verify this the same way.

We can do this!!
