Well, I am here in NW Indiana and I am battling the Battle of the Wet Basement.
It is touch and go since Saturday morning, the worst of it seemed to come last night as the rain stopped and waters kept rising. Gosh, I need a Johnny Cash song here right now,
"how high is the water poppa; 2 feet high rising, darling"
OK. enough pf that. We are bad but I am hearing stories of worse in our area with Munster, IN taking a beating and my parents neighborhood they are battling it out, except my Mom and Dad. I guess his tinkering around with the with the water flow paid off for my Dad. I, expect, to walk on the water any day now.
"how high is the water daddy; 3 feet high and rising, darling"
The ground is starting to dry out with the wind we have, but I think it will be another day or two before we are done. I know Menards, Meijer and Lowes all sold out of shop vacs. I was one of the lucky ones.
"how high is the water daddy; 4 feet high and rising, darling"
I guess this is God's way of making me clean my basement. I am suck a clothes horse, I am not sure if anyone here knew that. The only things lost are the the things that needed to be at this point.
"how high is the water daddy; 5 feet high and rising, darling"

Just heard that song and it sounded like a good title for what I am doing here and now
The fed is making it easy for us to go back into a refi boom. Rates dropped yesterday on the news that the Fed was taking over Fannie and Freddie and I will still be honest with you. I am not sure what to think, but I am going to act and get it out there right here and now.
Use this window to refi or lock your great rate. We were up 144bps yesterday and today we are up just 6bps. If you are the average joe lo and does not understand what market to watch you are lost right now. You should just go sit in the corner and let all of the hoopla pass you right on by.
Here, I will let my video do the talking for me...

I am sorry to say that there will not be a Mad Mortgage Machine show this weekend. The station that I do my show at WIMS am 1420 is a very busy and hardworking place. Well, we all decided to take some time off. My producer had his hands full and we decided to run some best of the morning show with little vignette's of my show in there as well.
I, also, got an email today from a friend in the business, Scott Swinford to let me know that I now have less business in the industry of mortgage radio shows. Joe Aledguer of Funds 34 and the Mortgage Exchange is closing down his lending company and faces foreclosure on two of his own properties. To say his home was huge is a disservice the thing was absolutely massive.
I look forward to being one of the few voices out in the airwaves that covers Chicagoland. So, stay tuned for next weeks show on Credit Repair and local company that is helping many people legally repair their credit.
