Why banks do'nt want to share info? Can anyone tell me?

I called our local "Bank of America" looking for information regarding clients who may be on the verge of foreclosure, asking for their recomendations as to what actions or procedures my clients should follow. You would have thought I was asking for their first born. The amount of resistance was incredible. Does anyone have suggestions to pry this info from banks. Thanks, Dave
