It is with joy and a renewed sense of confidence that I report that recently, in spite of the media negativity, I have been busier than ever!!

In spite of the forecast for doom and gloom in our national real estate market, life is good here in North Carolina! Yes, some agents are struggling to hold on, and yes, the market needs have definitely changed, but for me, at this moment, I am very busy!

I am holding on to my optimism that the goverment strategies to dismantle the credit crisis will begin to work. First time home buyers could not ask for a better time to buy!! The $8000 tax credit and a buyer's market!! Potentially distressed sellers may not be as desperate to sell with new options on mortgage payments. This can keep home prices afloat long enough to see some positive changes in the job market and the economic state of the nation.

So, keep your heads up!! Work hard, change the things you can and stop worrying about what you can't!!

What better place to be!...Lake Norman for boating, fishing, skiing, biking and hiking..A stone's throw to the Appalachians...four hours to South Carolina beaches...45 minutes to Charlotte...20 minutes to Hickory and Winston-Salem...30 minutes to Yadkin Valley Wineries and Vineyards...

Rural? Somewhat. But close enough to enjoy all of the perks of the big city without all of the traffic and taxes! Stop by and grab a hot dog at JayBee's or a cup of coffee at the Coffe House (or Starbuck's). You may not want to leave!
