Why I Love Living In The Orlando Area: #1 - The Weather

Welcome to my new series of posts about "Why I Love Living in Orlando Area"- I moved to Florida in 1986 from Whidbey Island, WA and have never looked back. What keeps me here? Subscribe to my blog to find out... You might even start thinking that you want to move to Florida too.

I know it's just not fair to write about the weather at the beginning of January when much of the country is wearing jackets and thermal underwear, but there is something to be said for Florida in the wintertime, it's amazing. Low Humidity, sunshine and 70 degree temperatures make me happy. Winter really is a great time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. From fishing to hiking there are so many options for those of us living the Florida lifestyle.

OPT OUT... Stop The Madness of Unsolicited Telephone Book Deliveries

I received an email a few minutes ago from a friend of mine with the title "Yellow Pages Goes Green", I clicked to find the website "Yellow Pages Goes Green" that you can register your address on to OPT OUT of receiving printed phone books. I was excited to say the least, I use Google or other online sources to find business and people. I haven't used a phone books in years.

In November I was actually home when the books were being delivered and ask the delivery man to keep ours, he seemed stunned and hesitantly took it back. He even told me that if anyone asks, he tried to deliver it. Did I save a tree? I hope so!

If you are interested in OPTING OUT from receipt of Telephone Books please click the Yellow Pages Goes Green link here.
