Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me - I'm Proud of NAR

Last night NPR's news quiz show Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me came to Boston. I had a great time being part of the sold out audience. Not only is the show intelligent, timely and witty, it's just plain fun. I love people who can think on their feet and improvise an incredibly funny line. At one of the breaks, Peter Sagal announced some of the sponsors and I was thrilled when he announced the National Association of REALTORS with the quick tag line that "all real estate is local". If you've never listened in to the show, take a few minutes and see if you can guess which one of these ridiculous news stories is actually true. . .

Thank you NAR for supporting the show. Tune in this weekend or listen online and see if you can hear my laughs :-)

Free Energy Audit

Mass SaveHey Massachusetts Residents - What could be better than saving money and reducing your impact on the environment? Not spending any money to find out how to do it! Mass Save offers free energy audits. Whether you heat your home by oil, gas or electric, the 1 – 2 hour audit will give you many tips on how to save energy during the coming winter. It’s very helpful if you can have a year’s worth of your bills for all of your energy consumption for the past year. Not only will the auditor make suggestions, but they’ll also help you determine if you qualify for any rebates as well.

You don’t have to own the home you live in to qualify for the free energy audit. Renters are welcome to use the program as well.

This is a win/win situation – you can save money, lower your energy usage and the audit is free!

Arlington Massachusetts Market Update

Today I sharpened my pencil and did some number crunching on current market conditions in Arlington. Although there are some real estate markets that have felt a major impact from the current recession, Arlington Massachusetts isn’t one of them.

Somerville Real Estate Housing Update

I think the best way to get a handle on what's happening in a city is to do some number crunching and look at the stories the data is telling us.
