My Dear Fellow Realtors! How many times have you been asked this very important question? But, have you stopped to think what they are asking you... versus, what is really the truth!!
You know my Reply to all my Clients is this: "Would you like that in: Dog Years, Human Years or, Realtor Years"! (There is a difference!!) Tell me Fellow Realtors, am I off base?????????
You see the way I calculate is this: Statistic's say an Average Realtor in a "normal" economy....sells 10 properties a year! Now, If I use this calculation to answer my Clients question... in"Realtor Years" I would tell them that I have been a Realtor for 6 years and 7 months, which is close to double the actual time that I have put in! And, if I am to include all the Contracts I have written and time involved, that have not, "Taken", my "Realtor Years" statistic would double, if not triple my, "real time" figure! I know the "General Public" thinks we Realtors make, "Easy Money", but I beg to differ with them, it does not come easy and I have the wrinkles to prove it! Not to mention; forget wanting a Palm Pilot device.....just give me a new Hand.... my left hand is,"shot"!! If I were a Horse I would be put out to pasture!! Why "Shot" you ask? Due to "Research"of course...I am sure you all can relate....You know I realized something else today in regards to "Research"... in Real Estate, when I first started out.....I could count the "Great Deals" on my two hands (when they were good hands!) available at all times...I could go right to them! But, now.....there are so many I cannot keep up (nor, my hands!)...Let alone the time we Realtors dedicate to Research....I don't know how you "Blogging Realtors" do it!! I barely have time to eat my first meal...much less pay my bills or clean my house! If a Health Official came to my house today, or any day of late.....it would be condemned without a doubt!! Perhaps the "Great Bloggers" have numerous Children who divvy up the chores, and a wonderful mate, who manages the bills, meals etc....I have to say.....I tip my hat to all of you and can only dream of better days to come when the "Market" adjusts so I can get some rest and go back to some kind of resemblance of a normal life and more reasonable hours! Perhaps it's best if you don't think about your "Realtor Years"on reflection....but everyone....please let's all pray together....shall we.....Heavenly Father....please make this whole mess disappear! AMEN!!

As I was driving along my normal route to the office I was overtaken with God's masterpiece of Color and composition!! You see, for all of you that are not aware.....FALL does exist in our wonderful Coastal Community of Sunny Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.....For all of you Northerners who are so accustomed to Mother Earth's display of such beauty in your neck of the woods....you probably think that we Southerners in a Tropical climate are deprived!! Well, I am here to say....that we might not be blessed with the abundance of color you are graced with but.....it is enough to say "Fall has arrived in Myrtle Beach, SC"!! I have to say...I went from the Northern part of the beach down to the Southern end to find these gems! And, if I had planned this out.....last week would have been even more spectacular! Next year I promise to do a "bang up" job in my reporting duties as a photo journalist!! I will out do myself....(amazing what a little planning can do!) So for now....you will just have to bare with me and enjoy the results of my "impromptu" journalism!! It helps to have an "Editor" (Broker) who when I called while driving into the office and announced I had a wonderful Blog idea for her....replied...."That would be wonderful....and please take time to go take pictures, and don't worry about the phone duty"!!! So, thanks to her...I am able to share these moments with all of you!! And oh! By the way.....please put on your Sun Glasses.....I promise the colors will jump out at you.....tee-hee!
