Northwest Ohio has a lot of positive things happening now and is poised to become a true powerhouse in the future. 2007 was our FIFTH BEST YEAR in local real estate. Yes, there has been a normalization of value in 2008, but a normalization was needed.

As a Senior Housing Specialist^TM, I have taken the initiative to expand my knowledge about the specific needs and issues affecting the over 55 client. An intensive education course is required to earn the SHS^TM Certificate. I am also in the process of obtaining my Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES^TM) designation.

As part of my education, I was exposed to the tax issues, estate planning and equity conversion needs of the senior client, as well as the shared experiences of every generation and how that experience affects values, ideals, goals and behavior.

The goal of the SHS^TM and SRES^TM professional is to build a strong relationship with the client and a successful relationship with other professionals who are part of the "team" working toward the highest and best interests of the mature adult client. I have college credits towards an elementary education degree. I've taken courses in Real Estate Law, Real Estate Financing, Real Estate Ethics, Real Estate Practices and Principles, Fair Housing, The Inspection Process, Real Estate Appraisal, and Generational Marketing. I have also taught classes on Touring HOmes as a Buyers Agent, Touring Homes as a Listing Agent, and Prospecting.

I have written a full-length work of fiction titled "Twelve-Ounce Poundcake" (yet to be published), have started a sequel to that novel titled "A Little Pain Never Hurt Anyone", and am also in the process of writing a work of fiction set in Northwest Ohio on Lake Erie titled "Waters Run".

I have given motivational testimony for my fellow congregation of church members based on my life journey and focused on the ultimate goal of "Laughing With Joy When I See God's Face".
