If you have not been to Deep Creek Lake recently, you are missing some pretty cool stuff! Take for instant the Mountain Coaster, which is open all year round, weather permitting. I don't like Roller Coasters but was challanged by my family and friends to ride this. I have to tell you that I embarressed myself and all around me, as I screamed all the way down," I am never going to do this again", "Oh my God"! Now there are breaks you can use to slow down, but my thinking was, without using the breaks, I would get down sooner!! Not only did I laugh and scream my head off, I had a blast!

There are some days that I wake up in Garrett County, Deep Creek Lake, and it simply takes my breath away. It is snowing now as I write this. I have so much work to do this weekend and all I really want to do is get a throw blanket, put on a fire and curl up to a good book, with a cup of hot coco. It is amazing all the triggers that snow tends to bring! If you are traveling to Garrett County, we are used to the snow and our roads are usually in good shape. It is only the ice storms that seems to slow us down. I hope you will come and visit and take a little time to slow down and enjoy!
