The seventh annual Share Your Soles for Christmas shoe drive for children began on Nov. 16th and runs through the holidays. Tom and Jean Sullivan, owners of the Good Feet Store in Millsboro Delaware, says they are looking for those gently used shoes of all types for kids. Donations may be placed in boxes in front of the Good Feet Store in the Food Lion Shopping Center in Millsboro or at the Good Feet Store in Dover, 706-B N. DuPont Highway. New shoe donations should be left in their boxes, but not wrapped.
Jean said many of us take shoes for granted, but some children in our communities have no shoes, or have one pair that are worn out. The Sullivans report no donation is too small, all are welcome. On November 21st, from 10 a.m. to noon, First State Community Action Agency will present a workshop for those homeowners facing possible foreclosure. The workshop will be at 308 N. Railrod Ave in Georgetown, Delaware. For more information, call Tracy Spriggs at 302-674-1355.

The office serves as a clearinghouse for information for homeowners needing information about government programs, or if you need to connect with a housing counselor, or need information about other upcoming workshops. This clearinghouse can also be contacted if you believe you are caught up in a foreclosure scam.

From an early age, I watched my father develop a strong work ethic that carried him through life. He always dealt with people, professionally and personally, on a genuine and honest level. I entered the Air Force when I was 18 and retired when I was 38 after 20 years. During that time, I developed well structured work habits and organization skills that carry with me today. I retired in 1996 as a Senior Master Sergeant and earned the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal. I had the responsibility of supervising 5 shops with a staff of over 500. I managed the fanancial resources and day-to-day operations of a maintenance organization comprised of both active duty and civilan employees. One of the best things I learned during my military tenure was that you treat every person you meet with the same dignity and respect as you treat your own family. I earned my degree in Social Psychology from Park University, graduating Magna Cum Laud. As a Delaware Big Brother, I have enjoyed serving my local community since 1997 and as a former Covenant House Innkeeper in New York City, it gave me the opportunity to serve people beyond my immediate reach. I joined the Keller Williams Realty team in Dover Delaware in April 2007 and my realizations have exceeded my expectations working with this wonderful family. I treat all my clients with the same dignity and respect as I learned from my father. We wanted to recognize one of your sales associates, Tom Schoenbeck. Tom assisted us in purchasing our new home in Millsboro. He went way beyond the call to help us. We are relocating from Long Beach, CA. Tom met us when we came to DE to look at the house which at the time we just had a contract with a contingency that our house sell before we would buy the home in Millsboro.
