Recently I participated in t
he Pueblo West "wet" parade. It was so much fun and I had a great time. There was lots and lots of food and a ton of people who came threw, estimated at 50,000. Although we were chased out by rain one of the thrills came later in the evening. A double rainbow photographed from highway 50 and Swallows Road.

This year I was invited to participate in the vendor section of the Pueblo West "wet" parade. This is a parade where those sitting on the side lines are warned they are going to get wet. A more appropriate word would be drown! What a blast!!!!!!!!!!

This is in response to Dena and all of her wonderful writings. I am the daughter of Bob and am the one who purchased the glorious "castle" home on Hatchet Ranch. It was intended that I would live there with my father so as to be available to care for him around the clock. That chapter was not written however. Instead, he now has a greater castle with my mother, which was his dearest longing.
The reality of an impossible dream was brought about by Dena and Donna. An unaltering, doubting soul was converted by their sincerity and graciousness. Our new home will be dubbed "Robert's Roost" and he will always be there in every mountain view, in each sunset and in the exhilleration felt each time I catch a fish. Thank you Dena. He felt more alive during his last week than I had seen since my mothers death. He was deeply touched by the realness and honesty that was afforded him. Penny Watkins
