Photo by Arlette Woodard accompained by Dena Stevens who couldn't get her camera out fast enough. This is an unusual site in Southern Colorado yet, I've seen two Pheasants this week. Pheasant are ususally seen further East in the grasslands of Pueblo County. This picture was taken on 9th Street Penrose Colorado Fremont County.

Volunteer onions growning in the driveway of 1432 Grand Ave Canon City. This property is in the very fertile part of Fremont County know as Lincoln Park. This property also has numberous fruit trees : peach, apple, Itailan Plum, Golden Plum and Apple. Also included with the property raspberry, blackberry, grapes, beans and the occasional deer having lunch on the property.
The Fifth Annual Brew-Ha-Ha is just around the corner (Saturday, May 9!!) and we're ready for a wall of suds to hit Canon City! What better way to spend the day BEFORE Mother's Day? You simply can't go wrong with comedy and microbrews in the park!!
Beer tasting session with stand-up comedians from 3 to 6 pm, and then . . . . . . we'll have the fabulous "Atomic Fireballs," featuring Johnny Watson and Carlos Crull, back for another terrific performance from 6 to 9 pm . . . . I guarantee you'll be up dancing in the grass!
Tickets are only $20 each for the beer tasting, and believe me . . . . that's a great deal for the selection of beers and comedic talent you'll encounter! And it's a major fundraiser for the Fremont Center for the Arts - we really need your support!
