One of the many community projects Morristown Rotary supports is Hillcrest School's Library, and yesterday the club presented their annual donation to the new principal of Hillcrest School, Martha Kelley.
Martha was present at the regular noon meting of the Morristown Rotary Club on September 8th to accept the funds and she spoke to the club of her appreciation and her plans to use this years contribution to enhance the library's biography and non-fiction sections.

The Morristown Rotary Club welcomed Amy Hemminger to the Club as a new member in August. Amy is a 1997 graduate of Carson Newman College with degrees in both Mathematics and Accounting.
Amy works with Club President Doyle Carter at Purkey, Carter, Compton, Swann & Carter, PLLC, where Amy has worked since 1997. Amy started as a staff accountant at the firm, and earned her Certified Public Accountant designation in 2001. She was then promoted to manager of PCCSC, and in 2009, she became part owner of PCCSC.
Amy lives with her husband, Todd, who is the owner of Oak View Landscaping and Irrigation. They have a son, Cory, and Triplets, Will Tara and Clint. Amy and her family are members of the Russellville Baptist Church where Amy serves as Treasurer. She is also the Campaign Auditor for United Way of Hamblen County and Treasurer of the Nolachucky Baptist Association.
In her spare time, Amy enjoys camping with her family and friends.

Dena is an active member of the Morristown Rotary Noon Club, The Rose Service Guild, the National Association of Realtors, the Tennessee Association of Realtors, and the Lakeway Area Association of Realtors. 
While attending the University of Tennessee, Dena was a Rotary exchange student at the University of Fortaleza in Ceara Brazil and earned her degree from the University of Tennessee in Anthropology. After becoming a Rotarian herself, Dena hosted an exchange student from Brazil, Lucas Cunha who lived in Morristown for the school year and attended West High School. 
Whenever possible, Dena likes to travel and has many adventures exploring the world. A two week drive through the English Countryside AND a month seeing the sights, getting lost and eating in Italy are among her top favorites to talk about, and when she isn't travelling she spends what free time she can gardening and cooking what some consider gourmet meals. 
As a student of Anthropolgy, Dena studied about Many different cultures and Religions from around the world and throughout history. She has been a volunteer on numerous occaissions at the Holston Presbytery Camp in Banner Elk North Carolina, and she looks forward to a time when mission work can be a bigger part of her life. Religion and Spirituality remain the core of her inspiration and are a part of her daily routine. Dena and Anna are active members of the First Presbyterian Church in Morristown where Anna is a member of the Choir.
