Governor Timothy Kaine made an announcement that Loudoun County is going to house approximately 600,000 square feet of office space for Raytheon. They will be leasing space in four of the office buildings located at AOL's Pacific Corporate Park in Dulles, Virginia.
Raytheon Company, a technology and innovation company that specializes in defense, homeland security, cybersecurity and other government markets is consolidating their Virginia operations. They employ approximately 4,000 people in Virginia and 73,000 worldwide. Their sales were in excess of $23 billion last year.
Raytheon anticipates creating about one hundred new jobs for their Virginia operations and will be relocating numerous employees from various locations in Virginia. This is great news for Loudoun and our housing market!
Governor Kaine approved a grant for $500,000 from the Governor's Opportunity Fund to assist Loudoun County with road improvements (Route 28) to make Loudoun a more appealing place for all of us!
Does anyone know someone who walked away just because they had negative equity? I am not talking about someone who lost their job, had an illness, etc. I am referring to people who just felt like they got "a bad deal" and CHOSE to walk away.
If you do, please let me know. I'd like to research it. Someone has to take a stand. Someone has to do something. This behavior is dishonest, wrong and we are all paying for their irresponsible, dishonest behavior. Well, no more.
These crooks are driving the value of your home down. People are losing jobs, school services are being cut. We need to force this kind of criminal behavior out in the open.
Know someone who just walked away? Send me their info.
There once was a man who lived in Sterling (on Holly Avenue). His mortgage company would not lower his rate (he had negative equity so it would not appriase at the new, improved, lower price).
Mr Holly Avenue, decided he wanted a nicer house (in Ashburn). He purchased the new house, moved to Ashburn and stopped paying on the old house (on Holly).
Shame on you mortgate company for being greedy and not refinancing your own loan (after all, you were dumb enough to do the loan in the first place....even though you knew the value was inflated).
Shame on you Mr. Holly Avenue, for walking away from a house you promised to pay for and sticking the tax payers with the bill.
Hope you enjoy your new house in Ashburn. Remember, what goes around, comes around.
So, WHEN are we going to close this loophole? The crooks are cooking all our gooses. We need to stop them. NOW. Law makers? Are you there? Are you lame? (lame duck) Are you doing anything to stop this? This needs to become a criminal (fraud....i.e. felony) issue. Obtaining a loan under false pretenses is credit fraud last time I heard.
Wow.....I was following a case that my friend is involved in. She is a young mother, and has a son with Downs Syndrome. Very intelligent, soft spoken lady who is 100% devoted to her son.
She lives in a house that was foreclosed upon. GMAC is the mortgage holder. She submitted a very, very good offer to them prior to the foreclosure (while it was in that fake "short sale" process we have all been scammed into) GMAC IGNORED her offer to purchase and went ahead with the foreclosure
Isn't it nice to know that GMAC got your bailout money....but does not want to sell those bad debts to willing and able buyers? They just evict them....leave the house empty and suck the tax payers dry. Word on the street is that they are not the only mortgage company doing this. Oh, no my friend. Your bailout money is being spread wide and far (think AIG). No strings, no controls, no collateral? Why do the taxpayers not own these homes we paid for? Huh?
Now, get this, The judge who was hearing the eviction case, denied her a hearing! Basically, he said OUT IN TEN DAYS. No trial, no due process, screw the legal system. Just get out. I don't care if you paid your rent....just get out. What is the mortgage company in such a hurry for? They got their money.....and they have their hands out looking for MORE! But don't forget...they are IGNORING bonafide offers to purchase.
Want to hear something even more hysterical? I wrote a letter to Congressman Wolf about these evictions. Basically, renters are out on the street....even if they paid their rent. I was shocked that the bill giving renters 90 days after foreclosure was poo-pooed (but the owners who pocket the rent money get off scott free). So, I write a letter to Wolf and he sends a polite letter back agreeing with my "frustration" over the high salaries of CEO's!!!!!!!! Huh? My letter was about RENTERS!!!!!! Guess someone clicked on the wrong form letter button eh?
So, what has to happen before the innocent are no longer put out on the street and the culprits do not profit from their own dirty dealings?
Heck if I know. Guess I'll write another letter to my congressman...this time, maybe I'll even get a form letter back about what I actually took the time to write him about.
In the meantime.....you greedy b$#$&%$% at the mortgage company that is evicting my friend.....hell will freeze over before I ever buy one of your products again. Maybe my voice is just a drop in the bucket, but at least I am making a stand.
