I am sure by now folks who are not living in the Sonoran Desert are pretty tired of the rain and snow. At this time of year those of us who have made the move here are feeling very smug. With the temps in the mid to high 70's and the cactus are setting their blossoms, it is a wonderful place. Hiking and biking are at their best.

As of January 2010 active inventory was 6,631, a 14% decrease from January 2009. There were 691 closings in January 2010, an increase of 21% from January 2009. Months of Inventory was 9.6, down from 13.5 in January 2009. Median price of sold homes was $160,000 for the month of January 2010, down 2% from January 2009. Tucson is experiencing a signific ant increase in buyer activity,with new properties under contract up 74% from January 2009. If you are looking to buy a home, you now have until April 30, 2010 to qualify for the Home Buyer Tax Credit! Up to $8,000 for first time homebuyers and now up to $6,500 for current homeowners purchasing a primary residence.
