Maryland and Pennsylvania Meet Up! Today in Westminster at the Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grill was a huge success! The crowd was small however, the laughs were big. I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone or I would have really missed out.
Bridget McGee and I were a party of two but a party non the less, we had a great Meet UP! at the Green Turtle in Westminster. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bridget before, RainCamp in Atlantic City, however, it was nice to meet up and talk about business, family and of course ActiveRain.
The Greene Turtle in Westminster was a venue I would defiantly choose again. The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious, so much that we forgot to photograph it.

Day at the office? - December 2011 Blog Challenge Days 11 & 12
Anyone who knows me knows I’d prefer to work from home. I have a big desk with lots of elbowroom, really cute security guards, a beautiful view, cheap lunches, privacy and quiet. If I need noise I can put on the news or the radio. I could go on but i digress....
Our Hampstead office merged with the Westminster office to create the Carroll County Regional office and my cube increased fro 48” to 60” I can actually get both my laptop and my planner on my desk at the same time, no balancing act. 
Getting back to my point, I’ve decided to give office life another shot (at least 2 days a week) I like my cute cube, I’ve made some great new friends and the December 2011 Challenge has really got me brain storming about what else I can do to generate business in 2012. Getting out of my comfort zone may be a step in the right direction.

ent to lunch, honestly, I try not to involve meals however, I’m trying new things for 2012 and thought I’d test it out tomorrow. When I mentioned it to my client he said “he and his fiance were strict vegans and only eat politically correct organic non-denominational restaurant's.” SO, I looked to see if there were any vegan restaurant's near our tour route …. I found one!

December Season of Sharing They have requested new, unwrapped toys, clothes, and household items for children of all ages and adults. Items can be dropped off at the Manchester Volunteer Firehouse. Drop off deadline December 17th, 2011. All items will be distributed in our community by the fire department on December 18th, 2011

Personally
As a lifetime resident of Maryland, I was born in Baltimore County and my family moved to Carroll County in 1973. I can't imagine living any place else!
My hubby, Chris, and I have been married since 1993. Together, we have had the pleasure of raising three children whom have all made us extremely proud, Mike, Cole & Claire. I can't leave out our furry kids, Raven, a German Shepard and Mater a Rottweiler.
Prior to real estate, my Dad, a retired Lieutenant with the Maryland State Police, and I operated gas stations/convenience stores for 23 years together. Although it had its trials and tribulations, both working for & with family, and the 24/7 obligation, I loved it. We ran a little place in Hampstead, I lovingly named "Hampstead Country Crown." That store was a cross between "Cheers" where everybody knows your name and "Petty-coat Junction" because a CSX train ran right past our place. The train conductor and crew would regularly stop the train for coffee, ice cream, fresh made deli sandwiches and other convenience items.
In February 2004, I was diagnosed with breast cancer followed by kidney cancer. It was a challenge like no other for me, my family and friends. I decided to face it head on and do everything in my power to live. I am thankful for the experience and for surviving.
When I am not working, a very rare occasion, I enjoy movies, reading, photography, learning new things, scrapbooking, sewing and most of all hanging out with my family & friends.
