Springtime in Montana

With the fresh spring weather (Snow - wet heavy snow), longer days and great interest rates; now is the time to look for that new home here in Montana. There are plenty of homes in all the price ranges and the home values are holding up very well.

If you can ignore all the negative press from all over the nation about real estate; look in the areas that are interesting to you. ALL real estate is local; so check out the local markets by contacting a REALTOR® in the area that you like. Here in SouthWestern Montana give me a call; if I can't help you I'll be happy to let you know who to call.

Like the old adage said "Get lots while you are young; That way you can be happy when you are old." Sage advice.

Why do you want to buy a home?

During a political campaign drive a candidate was going door-to-door asking for votes in a very poor part of town. The homes were mostly one room shacks, some had running water but most did not and the occupants were mostly older single men who herded sheep for a living and drank wine to avert boredom.

The politician asked one of the occupants "Why do you like to live here when you could live in a sheep wagon in the hills year around and save some of your money?" The man replied "In order to vote you must have a mailing address and if you have a mailing address you have someplace where you can be contacted. If you can be contacted you are a somebody. I want to be a somebody, a somebody who can make a difference. I vote."

Some of life's most pointed lessons can be learned from some of the most unlikely folks you will ever meet or hear about - but those lessons can determine who you are.

Now I also intend to be a "somebody who makes a difference" How about you? Can I help you?

Is now the time to buy?

With the low interest rates and dropping prices for many properties now may be the best time to purchase bare land for future developement as the holding costs are low and potential profit in the future is looking very good. Remember the old adage "Get lots while you are young." !!!
