I had some great news that I had to get out to all of you. I'm writing to let you know about the exciting Perfect Storm that is occurring right now for buyers in this market. Obviously, you all have read newspapers, talked to family and friends and watched TV. We all know that prices are way down right now. With that being said it's my belief that we are either at the bottom for prices or very close to it. The situation with the stock market and the worries about the economy have brought the housing correction into prime focus. The government is taking measures to try to correct this market as soon as possible. It's a buyers market TODAY but there is no guarantee that 2 months from now the tide hasn't changed and it's a more balanced market. Then the buyer will lose a lot of negotiation power and compete for properties a lot more. Yesterday the Fed cut the Fed Funds Rate by 3/4's of a point!! It was the biggest drop they've ever made. This was made at an emergency meeting of the Fed. It wasn't even a regularly scheduled meeting. This has lead to dramatic decreases in Interest Rates. I'm hearing reports of 30 YEAR FIXED RATES WITH NO POINTS AS LOW AS 5.5%. It's insane. With a couple of points you can get into the 4's! We were at 6.5 or 7 just weeks and months ago. Rarely in history has there been a time when rates were so low and prices so low. (compared to where they've been) I'm not in a position to buy anything today and you might not be either BUT if you know anyone that can benefit from getting off the sidelines today then do them a favor and let them know. TODAY IS THE DAY. Get out there and buy. Inventory is high, prices and interest rates are low. It's the Perfect Storm. (As a sidenote, some of you may want to think about re-financing if possible into a fixed rate mortgage. If so, I can put you in touch with my loan officer who will do a great job to look at your situation) Let me know if there's anyone you know of that could be in a position to buy. Qualifications
We are lifetime residents of Northern Virginia. Donny graduated from Oakton High School in Vienna and Meredith from Park View High School in Sterling. Donny went on to graduate from George Mason University, and Meredith graduated from Liberty University. Married in December 2004, we are residents of South Riding, Virginia. In June 2006, we had our first child, a daughter, Ava Grace. She is a true blessing, and we are enjoying parenthood immensely. In his spare time, Donny plays on the Samson Properties softball team and enjoys being a Washington sports fan. Go Nats, Redskins, and Wizards! In her spare time, Meredith trains for and runs marathons. She has completed 12 marathons, including qualifying for and running the Boston marathon twice. Together we spend time enjoying our family and friends.
