If you haven't figured it out yet St. Charles County, MO and St. Louis City/County, MO offers more than just the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues. There are loads of parks, walking trails, bike trails, casinos and history too. And there are other things to do too. I have written about, Bed & Breakfast, which offer an alternative to the more traditional hotel/motel. Then I wrote about visiting Missouri wineries that are close to home. Then I wrote about fun things to do with children while on a stay-ca here, or on a vaca, in the greater St. Louis and St. Charles Missouri area.

There is a wealth of things to do right here, as we have found out over the last three weeks, and they won't cost a boatload of money either! In this series I hope to show what one could do within a short drive from home. Not only for the adults but also things the kids will be able to do and enjoy.
So, there is only one thing that I have not talked about in this series and that would be places to enjoy a meal. No I'm not talking about the normal fast food fare, even though they are not bad. "The Country's First Wine Country" is far more than just a tagline. Over 150 years ago, European settlers were making great wine here in Missouri and today there are more than 100 wineries in our state.
