Just finished another great week in Burlington. Huge Block Sale on Saturday along historic East Union Street attracted many visitors looking for bargains and hidden treasures, and the (not active) rain gave us a break. I took advantage of the hoards and had a morning Open House at 216 East Union (www.DonVasquez.com) with about 70 touring this great old home. Some couldn't believe it is still on the market at a price of $173,500. Burlington Pirate Week also ended Saturday with the Buccaneer's Ball. Almost 100 swashbuckling attendees with most fully decked out in pirate attire. Pirate Week was a fitting and fun event for a great Summer that has come to an end. Oh well, Fall is just around the corner - can't wait for the Ghost Tours and Halloween events, followed by what will be a beautiful Thanksgiving celebration in New Jersey's Best Kept Secret.
Don't miss Saturday, September 10, in the Historic City Burlington, 9 am to 4 pm. 200 crafters, collectibles, antiques, jewelry, ceramics, flowers, and more art are on exhibit at the 41st Annual Wood Street Fair. Visit the A.J.Meerwald tall ship, enjoy a piece of gingerbread as Benajmin Franklin did while in the City of Burlington, visit the 1685 Revell House, eat at one of three food courts and much more. If you are interested in historic homes, visit 17 West Union open house, (www.DonVasquez.com).
Free entrance and parking, raindate Sunday, September 11. Visit Historic City of Burlington, NJ's Best Kept Secret.
