Our NW office at Coldwell Banker United drove right by our goal of $6,200 for our drive for The American Cancer Society!
What a wonderful feeling!! It's not the best year to raise funds but we were persistent and made and exceeded our goal.
Cancer has touched many lives in our office with co-workers, family and friends. We are both passionate and determined to stay on track with our giving for this worthwhile cause.
Colin Powell was right: "The healthiest competition occurs when average people win by putting above average effort."

Our building, located in The Arboretum Plaza (right behind The Cheesecake Factory) had a fire drill Friday at 2:30pm. They did notify us ahead of time it was going to happen and even treated everyone to Austin's world famous Amy's Ice Cream in the park!
We are so lucky to have landlords who value our time and show appreciation for any inconveniences!
Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis you rock!
While we were polishing off our ice cream I ran into Jason Crouch who was closing on a home with Independence Title Company located in our office building. The closer just brought Jason, the buyers and their closing documents outside for an informal closing in the park and they were on their way!
Flexibility and accomodation...it's what makes the world go 'round!!

Mark your calendars! All students, family and friends, please donate "critical need" items for the Hill Country Community Ministries:
BAR SOAP, LAUNDRY DETERGENT, DISH SOAP, SHAMPOO AND TOOTHPASTE

There will be a container in the main hallway of the school for you to place these items on November 2 - 13. Please show your school spirit and willingness to help your neighbors in need by participating in this critical condition.
Hill Country Community Ministries helps families in crisis and those living in poverty in southwest Williamson County and far northwest Travis County. If you have any questions, please contact Paige Polishook at pspolishook@yahoo.com. Let's make this the best drive possible....thanks for your help and generosity!!

We can learn to protect our planet from the Brownie Troop #676 in Canyon Creek! They are challenging us to recycle our batteries by collecting all non-rechargeable alkaline household batteries such as AA's, AAA's, D's, C's, 9-volts and button batteries commonly found in cameras, calculators, watches, hearing aids, etc.
You will find a recycle bin in the main hallway of Canyon Creek Elementary and in each classroom.
In November and April the troop will take the collected batteries to a Household Hazardous Waste Facility. They do not want to see the batteries end up in our landfills and are helping make a difference in the quality of our lives! Let's give them a hand in protecting our environment, land, air we breathe and water we drink! These heavy metals are ever vaporizing or seeping into our natural resources.

Francine Galko, a Canyon Creek resident, is in charge of the Canyon Creek Halloween Party again this year. What a great job she does! We all owe her a vote of thanks for her planning efforts to make this annual tradition for the kids a success.

The date is set for Saturday, October 24th, 2009 from 10am until 12:00 noon. There will be lots of fun activities, including crafts, tattoos, food, a petting zoo and a pumpkin patch!

We will be providing the traditional END ZONE TOUCHDOWN INFLATABLE OBSTACLE COURSE to bounce those calories off!

Grab your broom, wear your mask and fly over to Trail Head Park!!
