Naoma Doriguzzi - New Media Director

A blog from a Virginia Beach Loan Officer

As you might have read "I'm Back!" I have been MIA from the blogging world for about 4 months now. I am now having to readjust my schedule to actually make time for blogging. I can't complain at all because it is what I have been fighting so hard to do.

So, bear with me as I get my blog style and some posts up and going. As you read some of my blogs I can honestly tell you there are a few things that I enjoy writing about more than others.

Obviously, since I am a mortgage consultant I try to write informational posts on any updates on some mortgage programs. But I really love writing about my beautiful family and where I live ( Virginia Beach).

A quick note I had to share the latest pic of my beautiful son Ethan who is now 6 1/2 months old. He is now crawling and tonight he even sat himself up on his own. It is AMAZING watching him grow on an almost daily basis now.

Ethan is such a happy baby and wakes up smiling and just kind of hangs out and observes his big brother.

Hunter will be 4 in April and has become quite the big boy. He is fully potty trained which is such a relief! But he is a kind and protective of his little brother. He is so willing to share and help out any way he can. It is such a joy to watch the 2 of them together.

Virginia Beach Alarm Registry

I got an alarm registration in the mail last week and wanted to share with others in case you didn't receive.

Virginia Beach Police Department has asked that you register your business or home if you have a security system with a one time $10 fee. The reason behind this is that they receive 22,000 false alarms a year and needs to be able to keep database up and to help cover costs.

You are allowed 2 false alarms per year and then it goes to $150 for homes and $250 for businesses.

I have had an alarm system in my house for 6 years and have never had a false alarm or even had it go off due to a real burglary. Thank goodness! I think it is such a small price to pay for the added security for me and my family.

I'M BACK!!!!!

I feel like a brand new person and so excited to be back!

For those of you that missed out or that I haven't gotton to know yet here is the story - or my goodbye blog from Tina Merrit. A Sad Story of a Wonderful Blogger.

Basically after 3 years of blogging and social networking I was asked by my employer to remove all blogs and internet presence or risk being fired. They didn't want employees representing them on the internet or marketing as it could be bad.

I was in total shock because through my blog and social networking I actually CLOSED loans and brought in deposits to the bank. But after 4 months of not being able to blog I realized how important it is for my business and really didn't want to continue working there and to go where my efforts were appreciated and that I could communicate again with the world.

What am I up to?

Well my husband Charlie Doriguzzi and I have teamed up as partners at New American Mortgage. He too was working at a large bank that was too restrictive and had to go where we were allowed to grow our online business. That is how strongly we feel about Active Rain and what a good online presence can and will do for our business.

And since the takedown of my blog I have had an outpour of requests from people needing assistance on getting started and numerous questions on blogging and social media. So, I have also started a consulting business where I can teach as well as assist with businesses and real estate professionals on blogging and internet presence. Check me out at Success With Technology.

Thank you all for your patience and support these past few months...I am still in the business and going strong!
