PERSONAL INFORMATION

I have over twenty five years of sales and 10 years of mortgage background which has proved to be very valuable in my career in Real Estate. Along with this experience, I have a BS in Education and enjoy assisting and explaining the whole purchase process, ranging from how to get pre-approved, searching for the right home, presenting the offer and negotiating, to explaining the closing process. For sellers, I have a complete Marketing program that has been proven to be successful. I also have over twenty years of computers ranging from main frames to PC's which has provided an excellent training for all the software programs which I use to assist my clients Looking to buy or sell a home .

I believe it is important to keep my skill and knowledge up todate and I am the Chairman of the Columbus Board of Realtors, Education committee. I am there to assist the board on selecting what classes we will offer all Realtors each year.

I specialize in First time buyers and the Military. I made a booket the explains the complete process of purchasing a home and all the terms used, reivew the mortgage process, appraisals, inspections and more. Also included is general information about our area, sites, history and phone numbers need once the purcase has been made. I include my newsletter for additional information and dicounts from local vendors. For my first time buyers, I spend over an hour reviewing the above information so they will have some knowledge of how we go about purchasing a home.

For my seller, I have a complete proven marketing plan for the sell of their home. Some of the marketing plans includes, Internet advertising nationwide and local of their home, a ReaL OPEN HOUSE program to include min. of eight signs and two ballons per sign, marketing before the open house and follow up after the Open House. I'd like to say that Doug was one of the best realtors I've had to deal with in many years, but I can't. I mean when we met him he was supposed to show us a house but couldn't find the key to get into the house. Hello, first clue to run. But we stayed the course and found out that Doug was one of the best we'd ever dealt with in all our years of moving about the country.

I guess if I had to narrow this down to a few sentences I'd say Doug is the man to go to for when you are serious about buying a home. He has all the information on the area, is knowledgeable about all the important things we look for in a home and its surrounding area. And he has the patience of a saint and believe me that is what I'm looking for when I look for a realtor. I like a real person who is fun to be with, makes the searching interesting and can laugh at a good joke or a bad one.
