Speechless Sunday: The World War Memorial in Indianapolis

Well, as most of you know, I can not be totally speechless! :)

Here is a photo of the amazing "World War Memorial" in Indianapolis, IN. Since we are now in the month of May, I wanted to take some time to honor our soldiers and sailors who are fighting for our freedoms.

Indianapolis World War Memorial

When life is throwing me challenges, I like to drive downtown and sit on these steps. It evokes such a sense of pride inside, and makes me realize that most of my problems pale in comparison to what our soldiers and sailors face.

Thank you all for visiting my blog post, and I look forward to making real estate happen with all of you!

Have a Profitable Day Everyone.

Do You Have What it Takes to Succeed?

I wanted to share a 12 question quiz, and I REALLY want you to think about them before you answer.

Gladiator Quiz

Lets get real, you will not be able to work on any issues until you first admit to yourself that you have the issue. So put all ego aside, and please answer honestly.

Take out a sheet of paper, read the statements aloud, then write down if you: Agree or Disagree

  1. I read self-help and motivational books, but can not seem to apply them into my own life.
  2. My financial situation is frustrating!
  3. I am a perfectionist!
  4. I feel like I am not as good, or as qualified, as my competitors/co-workers.
  5. I am afraid of the word NO!
  6. I try to be all things to all people, and feel there is no other option.
  7. I start a lot of projects, but never seem to finish them.
  8. I keep getting very close to success/promotion, but never seem to make it.
  9. I feel like I am doing all I can, but it is never enough.
  10. I feel guilty asking others for help or money.
  11. I often cower and let others win.
  12. I often allow myself to be undercharged/undervalued for my work and/or services.

If you wrote down agree once, you failed!

Don't let that result get you down, almost every single person would fail this quiz. The goal is to get you to think about these weaknesses, and get to work on them. The good news is that we have the ability to overcome all of these things, and you can create a solid action plan to help achieve that goal.

I will be committing to a 12 part series addressing all of these topics, so if you are interested, please subscribe to my blog and get ready to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Have a Profitable Day!

Seven Keys to Help Your Business Grow!

Lets grow your business!!!!

Seven Keys to Help Your Business Grow!

Seven Keys

  1. Stand in Your Client's Shoes: Do you service your clients in a manner that would please if you were standing in their shoes? This is a very easy mental exercise to work on while out in the field. If Realtors apply it, their business will improve!
  2. Lead by Example: We have all heard this phrase but are we actually doing it?
  3. The Power of Positive Attitude: People feed off of the attitude, and feelings, of others. Understand this, and apply the power of positive attitude into your business. It can help make difficult situations much easier to deal with.
  4. Be Prepared: When you meet with your clients, be prepared! We all know that a Buyer/Seller can be difficult, but why? Most of the time it is simply because they are frustrated with their agent, and a process they are not familiar with. This challenge can be solved by simply being prepared for your meeting, and making sure that you have a clear way to explain the home buying/selling process.
  5. Admit What You Don't Know: You do not know everything, none of us do, and sometimes we need to just admit that, even to our clients. I have found that people will respect us more if we let them know we do not have an answer to their question, but will do the research, and get back with them promptly with the answer. Giving them the wrong information can ruin credibility.
  6. Set Reasonable Expectations: LIVE by these words: "Under Promise, and Over Deliver!"
  7. LISTEN: Why do I have this in bold? Well, it seems to be the #1 complaint out there about Realtors. That tells me many of us must not be listening to our clients needs. We have two ears and one mouth for a reason, listen twice as much as you speak!

I know that some of you might feel this is just common sense advice, but I promise you that many of us think we are applying these 7 keys, but have been an autopilot for so long that a re-evaluation is in order. These keys do not only apply to Realtors, but to anybody out there who is running a business, or even an employee at a company. Take these 7 disciplines to heart, and your business and/or career will flourish!

Top Secret Gladiator Eco-Mission (aka: The Tale of Two Bunnies)

Experience Earth Day, Gladiator Style!

Our dogs found a nest of baby bunnies in our backyard, and unfortunately, they ate three (almost 4) of them. So we worked hard to save the two that surived, and my children named them Jasper & Casper!

It was a long, hard road and we lost one of them......Jasper R.I.P 2009

The good news is that were able to save Casper! We decided that Earth Day was the most obvious day, and he was ready, to be released back into the wild!

It was an emotional day, but it really feels wonderful to have saved a life and be confident that we made the planet a better place today!
