OMG! I've been active (okay, obsessive) with ActiveRain only since January 11th, and I've already been "tagged!?!?" Chris Ann, that's almost cruel! LOL But oh well, here goes...
1. My favorite movie, starring Steve McQueen & Dustin Hoffman, is Papillon.
2. I have two tattoos, one butterfly and one Native American dreamcatcher with eagle feathers.
3. My favorite wine is Pinot Noir, but I'm forever on a hunt for the perfect margarita!
4. I married my wife (30years ago) in Las Vegas. We basically eloped, and only my wife's mother and father accompanied us. My father-in-law booked the hotel rooms for us, which ended up being adjoining and having twin beds. All he wanted to know was how long we were going to be, because he had tickets for us to see a Wayne Newton show in 2 hours!
5. I love thunderstorms and rain. Not real keen on tornadoes, since I've witnessed and survived more of them than I care to recall.
6. I'm in love with the Garden Island of Kauai, Hawaii. She stole my heart, and I will never be the same.
7. I like to drink coffee from china coffee cups, not pottery. I hate those big fat coffee mugs!
8. I am a night owl, big time! In fact, I think it should be against the law to do any kind of work (or thinking) before 10 am. From 10 pm to 2 am is usually when I get my second wind and enjoy my most relaxed, creative times.
9. I had a recurring nightmare (as a child) that I was being chased by a truck in my own front yard. I could never get away, but I always managed to avoid being run over. 25 years later, I discovered that my younger brother had the exact same recurring nightmare.
10. I chewed my fingernails when I was younger. I didn't quit chewing them till I was about 25, but I still occasionally pick at them.
11. I'm a Gemini, born on June 2nd. (Don't ask me what year!)
12. I believe Elvis was and always will be the King!
13. I still think Marilyn Monroe got a bad rap.
14. My favorite author is Richard Bach. (Jonathan Livingston Seagull, et al)
15. I was once a Registered Commodity Futures Broker. (But I've had way too many "past lives" to list them all here.)
16. One of my favorite snacks is green olives, thanks to my Granny Hooker (who I still miss)!
17. I'm a former Harley Davidson biker, but was never a member of Hell's Angels (darnit:).
18. I can sense control freaks 10 miles away, am too much of a rebel to accommodate them, and actually get a kick out of keeping them off balance. (Sick, huh.)
19. I once sang with Debbie Boone at one of her shows in Las Vegas. (And no, I wasn't drunk!)
20. My first car was a 1965 Mustang GT. Man I loved that car! It was totaled when a truck rear-ended me while I was sitting at a stop light.
21. This is WAY too much self-disclosure for my comfort zone.
22. I was offered music scholarships to two universities (playing trombone),and I turned them both down.
23. I think Ally McBeal is one of the best TV series ever filmed.
24. I wish Shania Twain would return to her roots and make a roaring come-back!
25. A very good friend once taught me how to end a conversation and leave the room. Simply say. "I have to go now." Then walk away. So to you, my friends, I now say, "I have to go now!"
