IF YOU QUALIFY THEN DON'T MISS OUT ON THE THE $8000 TAX CREDIT

Who wouldn't want an $8000 tax credit?

What in effect the government is doing with this historic tax credit opportunity, is offering qualifying individuals to deduct a large portion of the amount they pay for closing costs on a home purchase as a tax credit against taxes owed the IRS for 2009 (and in some cases 2008). Here are some details on the program from the I.R.S. http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=206291,00.html

This is possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity to have the U.S. government help you buy a home--but the offer is only good until Dec. 1, 2009

What that means, is the property must close escrow by 12/1/2009. Many of our sales are currently short sales and foreclosures and they can take up to 3 months to close escrow. So, time is of the essence.

The Ferry Ride Between Keystone (Whidbey Island) and Port Townsend, WA

THE FERRY CROSSING FROM KEYSTONE (WHIDBEY ISLAND) TO PORT TOWNSEND, WA IS A VISUAL TREAT

A good day trip to take in the Puget Sound area is the ferry ride from Keystone (just west of Coupeville) on Whidbey Island to Port Townsend. If you park your car on Whidbey and walk on the ferry you are assured passage. Driving on can result in a long wait, as the boat is small. Here are some pictures of the view during the trip.

Coming into Port Townsend, which is one of the oldest cities in Washington.

You can see the Olympic Mountain range in the distance. The crossing takes 35 minutes.

Champions Real Estate Services Opens 4th Office

Champions Real Estate Services, which currently has offices in Anacortes, Lynnwood, and Edmonds, WA, has opened a fourth office across the street from Green Lake. Here is the blurb from Pat and Richard Lord--who in my opinion are excellent brokers to work with--foreward thinking and aggresive-in a very friendly way. One thing they don't do, is stand still.

This is our new building in Green Lake ... we are on the second floor.
Cafe seating out front, several restaurants and ice cream too!
We are on the north end of Green Lake just
across the street with a lake view from the main door.
Very cool!!!

Why the blog "Seattle North To Whidbey?"

I created this blog to highlight my market area as a real estate agent, which is downtown Seattle to south Whidbey Island, Washington. This area is unique because it is surrounded by water and it is bordered by the Olympic Mountain range to the west

water and it has the Olympic mountains to the west- Olympic mountain range.

and the Cascade mountain range to the east.

Seattle waterfront

The reason I write about this area, is because my office, Champions Real Estate Services, is located in Lynnwood, Washington, which is eighteen miles north of downtown Seattle, and I live in the city of Clinton, on Whidbey Island, which is nine miles driving and a three mile ferry ride from Lynnwood. It's a great way to live, if you can make it work with your families lifestyle.

I know you will enjoy reading about this beautiful part of the world. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me, or call me anytime.
