Commenting on posts is easy as I think most people have it down on what they need to write to get points. Commenting on posts and reading the posts are two different things.
I have to say, sometimes I am more interested in reading what people are writing in the comments than I am on the posts. However, sometimes I'm reading the comments and then I read one or two that just don't fit. I'm probably guilty of it myself, writing something like "Good luck with that listing! I hope you get a quick sale". We aren't all listing agents and some people are just promoting listings that agents have posted on their site. Don't get me wrong, sometimes there is a place for the "good luck..." comments and they make great sense. It makes you feel like someone cares and is actually taking the time to at least comment on your post.
It is important that we all read the posts, including myself and then if we decide to post a comment, that it does relate to the post and to the company or person writing it. Take the time to understand the company and the person, then relate it to the post. I know I can do a better job and I think that will keep ActiveRain even better for all.
