Corde Valle Golf Course was recently ranked Number 14 if the golf Digest's Index of the "World's 50 Best Golf Hotels" in their Spring 2008 edition. CordeValle on the web

CordeValle is located about 5 miles north of Eagle Ridge. It is sure nice that it got the attention, as it brings attention to golfing to Southern Santa Clara County. Eagle Ridge is located in Southern Santa Clara County in Gilroy. For those seeking natural beauty, and little hassle from the courses of San Jose and the peninsula, both of these courses are located in Santa Clara County, and both are golf course communities. Corde Valle has fewer homes compared to Eagle Ridge, and they run almost twice as much in price, but they are gorgeous. The lots are surrounded by vineyards, which are maintained by Clos La Chance Vinyards.

In addition to its overall ranking, CordeValle was also recognized and ranked #2 for "Top Wine and Drinks," #4 for "Top Rooms," and #3 for "Top Service".

Corde Valle is also well known as a conference center by those of us who live in the South County, holding wedding receptions and business seminars.

The new park is working!
Well, I have witnessed the new park doing its job...
 Iwas just out for a walk, today, March 22nd, 2008.  The weather is a clear and calm 78 degrees, and we are only a couple of days into Spring.  Both tennis courts at the park were in use, as were both basketball courts.  There were quite q few swimmers in the pool, and mothers were there with their strollers, watching their other children play on the playground equipment. 
Thoughts of the economy, or a bad day at work seemed to be the furthest things from people's minds today.  The kids playing tennis appear to have arrived by bicycle.  All I could think of was how lucky I am to live in such a great community.  And, how lucky to work here as well.

THe park is working.  It is doing a fine job of being just the perfect amenity that Eagle Ridge needed.

Have a happy Easter to all Eagle Ridge residents, and enjoy the good weather while you can.  I hope all the cars I saw on my walk home, with out of area license plate frames, enjoy Eagle Ridge as much as the residents do...

Well, Eagle Ridge had four sales in February. which is not bad when one considers that there were a total of 12 sales in all of GIlroy. Of the homes that SOLD, the average days on market was 137 Days, and the median was 101, which is almost 3.5 months. One house I know of in particular was sold by a friend and had 5 offers on it, just to show that if the property is priced correctly, it can still create a multiple offer environment.

The average Selling Price was $881,250 and the Median Selling price wsa $875,000. The average List price was $949,722 and the median List Price was $934,844.
There were two homes that were issued a Notice of Default, which is the first step in the foreclosure process. This was good news, as it was better than months past...
