About Islamorada in the Fl keys

About Islamorada

Long ago, violet sea snails called Janthina colored the shores deep lavender. When Spanish explorers discovered this strange sight, they named the Islands islas moradas, or purple isles.

Located just 75 miles from Miami Airport and 80 miles from Key West, Islamorada is the perfect spot for your home in the Florida Keys. The average temperature is 80 degrees and 78 degrees for the water. Sitting between the sparkling dear waters of Florida Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, it is bestowed with a Coral Reef three to five miles offshore that is filled with spectacular life! It is this very reef that has contributed to the chronicling of some of the most romantic history from pirates to shipwrecks to sunken Spanish Galleons.

Known as the "Sport Fishing Capital of the World", it has the largest fishing fleet per square mile anywhere in the world. Fish for "big game" offshore, or use your finesse for back country fishing or just bridge fish. Almost any month of the year you can find a fishing tournament. There are other ways to enjoy our pristine waters. Take advantage of parasailing, wind surfing, kayaking, or a back county ecotour. You can just lay back and take advantage of the lush tropical surroundings, or visit our artisan villages, shop boutiques or mix a colorful sunset celebration with a range of dining tastes.
I am sure if you visit me at our office In Islamorada at M.M. 82; we will find you the property you desire, be it a primary residence, a second or vacation home.Islamorada and the Upper Keys Never cold here! Our average temp. is 80 degrees! "The Sport Fishing Capital of the World!"

My name is Ellen Alderman, and I’m a REALTOR with Coldwell Banker Schmitt Real Estate Company located in Key Largo. Originally from Chicago, my husband and I moved to Orange Park, Florida in 1975 and then to Miami in 1978, where we worked and raised our family. Our first Keys purchase was a mobile home on a canal in Lake Surprise. We had so much fun there! Lots of company, boating, fishing…it was great! It was go great, we sold the mobile and purchased a waterfront lot in Key Largo in 1991, started the building process and officially moved into our new Bayfront residence in 1996. I eventually sold my business in Miami, and have been working with Coldwell Banker Schmitt since June of 2005. Agent training with Coldwell Banker Schmitt was an exhilarating (and exhausting) five weeks, providing me with the tools necessary to be the best I can be. Since that time, I have taken advantage of the myriad of continuing education courses offered to sales associates to stay abreast of the changes and be on top of the market. I also achieved my Broker’s License in 2006, which provided me with a perspective of my trade at a different level.

Living and playing in the Keys and having experienced the building process in the Keys from soup to nuts, I feel that I can provide you the professional assistance that you need with sale and purchase of residential property. If you want the professional assistance of a seasoned expert who will work diligently in an effort to satisfy your real estate needs, please call me anytime at 305-453-7548.

I hope you’ll find my website to be comprehensive, interesting and informative.

Further, your home will be assigned its own website and receive a free Homeowner’s warranty. These are just some of the many marketing tools that will ensure that your property is “Sold”.
