As I was watching the current news channels I noticed that a lot of different town hall meetings are being held across the country. Many of the town hall meetings that will be showing up in this next month will be transporting the supporters by buses to various locations. It may be a good idea for some of the current town hall supporters when organizing to have meeting places where rides can be shared or public transportation can be arranged to show support in reducing the carbon footprint of having large crowds that drive to these events to start to share rides.
There are many things a current homeowner can do to take the first steps towards making some green changes in their property. For example one could replace old light fixtures and turn off lights when not in use. A second idea is to install a low-flow aerator and maybe even control the flow. Another idea is to check the pipes to the toilet. One could also lower the water heater and wrap the water heater. One easy thing to do would be to use clean fliters to keep your equipment running efficiently. Others who wish to share some green home tips can post their ideas on the blog to help everyone become more energy efficient with the rising cost of utilities.
