While some are saying it is a total Buyer's market..it is, AND it is NOT! The $250-$290k homes in Bellingham proper, are still seeing offers, multiple offers and shorter days on the market and yet there are still some great "steals."
Higher priced homes...Buyer's market. Just look at the difference between average list price and average sold price. The higher priced homes are moving...very slowly! Does that mean there is a killing to be made...it depends upon the situation of the specific seller. That can't be said enough.
More homes sold in Bellingham this year than last year! Although there was a very slight reduction in prices in some areas in the county, Bellingham saw a slight increase!
There are currently 254 homes under contract in Whatcom County. That is a good start for the year!We have been blessed to not be a part of the national "norm." Remember this when you hear those national numbers...real estate is local; interest rates are national.
