Come See me DOO DAH

I talked about the Rock Hill SC Come See Me Festival in my recent post, but I neglected to mention that the Doo Dah event is back as part of the annual parade. Rock Hill neighborhoods use humor and creativity to out do other neighborhoods. The rolling brigade of trash rollout bins is always a favorite. I do not believe Rock Hill realtors are a creative bunch, as I have not been invited to march or show off our talents. Too bad-I am sure that we could do a great job poking fun at our business partners. Maybe it was the $10 entrance fee this year.

03/31/2008 Market Stats for Rock Hill and Fort Mill SC

I love stats. So I spent some time this week looking at our York County MLS.

Since the first of the year, 690 homes are new/were listed on the market in Rock Hill SC. In that same time period, 282 closed.

Fort Mill, SC, a smaller market, shows 355 homes listed and 100 sold (closed).

Our market has seen some impact from the slow down in other parts of the country, but the piedmont is one of the strongest markets in SC. The Piedmont, which means foot of the mountains, includes the Rock Hill real estate market, Fort Mill, SC, Tega Cay, and Lake Wylie, SC.

SC is the tenth fastest growing states in the country.

I just checked the market for March. Rock Hill showed 268 new homes on the market, most single family. Fort Mill had 44 new listings for the month.
