Speechless Sundays: Eyes Wide Shut

If you have never seen this exhibit, you have missed one of the most power displays of emotion. I could write thousands of words....each pair of shoes represent someone who has died in our confrontations in Irag and Afghanistan. This picture doesn't reflect how many pairs there are....but I wanted to capture the Washington Monument in the background....there were soldier's boots, men's dress shoes, bedroom slippers, ladies' heels and baby shoes. What more can I say?

Sunrise in Lakewood

We have been experiencing such beautiful weather here in Colorado. I captured the sunrise a couple of days ago. Tomorrow is supposed to bring a change....so enjoy today! Get outside, take a walk, or head to the mountains! I hope we have many more sunrises like this. Please share your photos as well.

Rocky Mountain High

One of the things that I love so much about what I do is that I get to spend time in the mountains often searching for some remote home that no one has directions to. And in my travels, I discover some really beautiful country as well as incredible views. Yesterday I was doing a bpo outside of Evergreen, finally found the home in a very rural area and was just enthralled by the view. I really do love my job.

Sales Continue to Rise for 'Real Estate owned' Property

I just received my weekly edition of the Denver Business Journal. It was of special interest due to the special section, "Real Estate Quarterly" and the fact that my managing broker, Lon Welsh, was featured in an article about real estate in the Denver Metro area. There is a two page spread about what is happening in our market and I highly recommend that you read the article by going to

In the photograph, Lon is holding a map that charts the trends in each neighborhood in the Denver Metro area. It indicates the % of foreclosure sales, the appreciation/depreciation of home prices and the average days on market. As a broker associate with Your Castle Real Estate, providing this information to our clients is incredibly valuable, whether they are buying a first home or are a seasoned investor.

Botanic Gardens, St. Croix, USVI

Whenever I get tired of cold and snowy days, I look at photos taken from my visits to St. Croix, USVI. The following photo is of the Botanic Gardens. We visited on a weekday and saw only 2 other people the entire time we were on the lush grounds of this amazing facility. Unlike St. Thomas and St. John that are filled with tourists, St. Croix maintains a lovely, Caribbean lifestyle....steady and slow, but filled with incredible views, scrumptious smells and incredible hospitality.
