Even though we may not think the real estate market is doing much since we are not getting that many showings on our listings things are moving slowly and steadily. Both average and median sales prices were up from last month. Inventory did increase in June but that is pretty normal for this time of year. It is interesting to note that there was an increase in sales from $300,000 to $399,000. It was over 12% of the market for the first time in 2010. Foreclosures are down 7% from last year at this time which is a big relief to see them down a bit for a change. Info taken from Empire Title Local News.
Home sales in Colorado Springs are up 19% the first quarter of this year compared to the first quarter of last year. This is encouraging.
Foreclosures are down by 6% from a year ago and inventories are also down.
Now that spring has finally arrived and summer will be here soon; it is a great time to purchase a home.
Interest rates are still good and will probably nudge upward very soon.

Check out our Home Owner Association website at www.aheightshoa.com. Most of us that live in Austin Heights live here because of the view of the mountains.
Currently there are 3 homes listed for sale in our MLS system for Austin Heights in Colorado Springs with prices of $374.900 to $389,900. Three properties sold this year with prices ranging from $75,000 to $394,500. The property that sold for $75,000 was an eye sore as it has been framed up and abandoned for several years. It is starting to look better already!! Thanks to the current owner of this property
