The Relocation Professionals

People have Relocation Questions - Can you give them Realtor Answers?

April 17th, 2009 will be the official grand opening up an interesting new website located at www.Relo-Info-Exchange.com. You may ask what this website is about...

"The Relocation Exchange has developed a revolutionary way of bringing potential home buyers and Realtors together. We have setup an interactive social networking website where people from all over the country can ask questions in regards to various cities in the U.S and Canada.

Our strategy is simple and right to the point. We attract visitors who have questions in regards to relocating to a city, and have other members who live in that city... answer them. With great organic positioning, we are able to attract new visitors everyday whom are able to answer these questions.

Our social network website is 100% free and we encourage people from all types of industries to sign-up and answer questions. For a prospective home buyer, this is a great place to ask those hard questions."

There is already a lot of interest in this website from relocation families and people. We have seen a huge increase in traffic to our website just in the last two days. So far over 501 members have joined up for free, and we are seeing thousands of new unique visitors per day.

By utilizing Facebook and Twitter technologies, once a question is asked... it is sent out via Facebook and Twitter to all of our followers. If someone has the answer, then assist the person.

This is a great way for Realtors to get in contact with potential relocating families, that cost nothing. It's 100% free for people to sign up, even Realtors.

Remember to bookmark www.Relo-Info-Exchange.com or check it out before you are left in the dust. ActiveRain has been a great idea. Don't be left behind when another great idea has entered the scene.

Zolve.com is *NOT* playing fair

Zolve is a Real Estate Social Networking website that recently has changed how their blogging system works. The blogging platform Zolve was using was out dated, and have recently switched to a Wordpress type of application. But this has recently caused a lot of Realtors and other Social Networking people to complain.... why?

"The curious thing is that zolve is not forwarding any blogs to their new website. Which means if you worked hard and have received good SEO Blogs, all those blogs are now pointing directly to www.zolve.com. I've contacted quite a few Realtors whom are no longer using Zolve as they feel their content got hijacked, and I do not blame them.

Imagine writing 200+ posts on ActiveRain.com, and getting a good amount indexed high into Google. Then all of a sudden, with out notice, ActiveRain disabled all the blogs and forwarded every post to their homepage. ... how would you feel? It's completely unacceptable, and Zolve is keeping this under the carpet."

For example our company had nearly 125 posts on Zolve, which most had excellent ranking in the Google SERPs. Then one day without notice, one of our salespeople clicked on one of our posts and it immediately went to the zolve.com homepage. He then contacted our Marketing Department, to further investigate.

We realized that Zolve had completely disabled all blogs on their network, which meant every single blog on their network... now pointed back to zolve.com. This is a total attempt and SEO hijacking, if I have ever seen it before... and people should be outraged.

Having your content being used against yourself for the sole purpose of a company to attract more visitors, is not right. We are currently investing the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service for Zolve, to see if this is even legal. Stay tuned, and if you are a Zolve member.... comment below.

The Real Estate Market is Changing... have you?

Just like technology changes every few years, the way Realtors are getting in contact with potential moving families also changes at a very quick pace. Gone are the days where creating a "cookie-cutter" Realty website actually works, or having a generic looking company website. Moving families have become internet savvy, and expect information at their finger tips. People are searching for "information" and they want it as quick as they can get it, and they want it now.

Also long are the days of people flying/driving in to your city to personally view homes. These days have changed to informative city websites, there people can find out current demographics, weather, jobs, real estate prices, school information and much more. As NAR says, "90% of people looking to purchase a home within the next year, use the internet to first find out about the area." That is quite an alarming statistic, and you should take notice.
